Evidentally, if you are going to do it yourself, the cost is going to be a lot lower than if you hire a professional to do the flowers for your wedding. What brides might want to keep in mind is that there actually is quiet a bit of work involved doing the flowers for your own wedding, and of course, it all depends on how extensive they want to do this.

But I think a good question to ask is, how much time do they think they will have or how much time do they want to spend the day before the wedding to make the bouquets, the centerpieces, etc, etc. Because there is time involved to go buy the flowers wherever they go to buy the flowers. Probably a good idea also to order, pre-order, if they are going to need a lot of flowers.

So I think that the whole time concept is something to keep in mind and then maybe also be informed on how to make a bridal bouquet, for instance, or how to do a corsage and a boutonniere instead of gathering with your friends and family and going 'Oohoo, now how am I going to do this?', you know, or whatever. So be prepared. So do a test or play with the flowers ahead of time.

If you hire a florist or a professional, the expense will be higher but you are no going to have to worry about anything because everything will be taken care of and will be delivered and set up in a timely manner.
