Speed Shooting-Kassai vs. Turkish authentic Techniques

  • 13 yıl önce
Central Asian mounted archers and later professional warriors of Middle Eastern armies were well-known with their skill in shooting arrows incredibaly fast one after another. Kassai Lajos, a Hungarian enhusiast revived horseback archery with a special technique for speed shooting. Holding the extra arrows in the bow hand, he loads the bow just in a split second and launch the arrows with acceptable accuracy downrange. His attempts and inventions are priceless, however the authencity of his shooting technique is questionnable. Holding the arrow in the bow hand has some historical background, but it’s nearly impossible to be accurate that way with high weight bows that logically require more or less firm grip. Perhabs that's why modern mounted archers following the Kassai’s school prefer relatively weaker bows. The accuracy and the comfort of an individual tecnique is undoubtly up to practice. I thank my Hungarian friend Marton so much for making this video possible.
