The electro-punk meisters take the law into their own hands as ninjas, mermaids and astronauts pop up at the command of frontman Aaron Bruno — who stands on trial for having a “guilty, filthy soul”. Keep your eyes peeled for a cameo by celeb DJ Samantha Ronson playing the judge (before she gets magically transformed into a mannequin). Clever bit of casting, as Ronson does a remix of the track “Guilty Filthy Soul” on the band’s EP.
The band spent the summer opening for MGMT and Weezer, and will be playing a string of shows in London this November before heading back to the States. Prepare yourself to go AWOL by picking up their debut EP Back From Earth on iTunes now!
