Endangered Species & Habitat Conservation Efforts

Former Greenpeace co-founder, Dr. Patrick Moore leads a team to Indonesia to evaluate the sustainability practices of Asia Pulp & Paper and learn more about biodiversity and conservation in the region. During his trip, Dr. Moore speaks with local conservationists who work to protect the Sumatran Tiger. These groups reveal that while Western NGOs provide the political activism and basic research concerning these endangered specifies, it is companies like APP who are providing the resources to actually make a difference at the habitat level, such as the Senepsis Tiger Sanctuary in Riau Province.
Tune in as Dr. Moore discusses the surprising findings of his two-week tour of Indonesia during a Washington Post Viewpoint webinar on November 30 at 11 a.m. EST at http://discuss.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/zforum/05/APP.htm or to read the Greenspirit Strategies report in full please visit: http://www.scribd.com/asiapulppaper.
