Gene Kardos & His Orchestra - China Boy

Although largely forgotten today, Gene Kardos' orchestra had a pretty advanced sound, announcing the swing period. None of the soloists are too well-known (trombonist Pete Salemi comes the closest), but the band is quite strong, with exciting ensembles and purposeful solos. This performance was recorded in 1931. The vocal is by Dick Robertson.
