Fighting the Water Crisis Drop by Drop | Global 3000

In an oasis of green in the middle of the Israeli Negev desert, jojoba bushes are grown for their oils. The plants are given the exact amount of water they need to flourish, and not a drop more or less. To date, it is one of the most innovative watering techniques in the world.
The method, which was invented in the sixties by an engineer on Kibbutz Hatzerim, uses water sparingly, efficiently and is easy to master. Since its beginnings, the technique has been developed and sold by the kibbutz’s company, Netafim, to more than 110 countries.
