Katy Perry dropped from Sesame Street

It seems Katy Perry is too hot for kids TV.

The California Gurls singer has been dropped from her upcoming appearance on Sesame Street after parents complained she was showing too much cleavage.

Perry re-recorded her hit Hot 'N' Cold with character Elmo.

Bosses posted a clip online and have since pulled the music skit from the upcoming premiere of the new series.

"In light of the feedback we've received on the Katy Perry music video which was released on YouTube only, we have decided we will not air the segment on the television broadcast of Sesame Street, which is aimed at preschoolers," producers said in a statement.

They added they valued the opinions of viewers, particularly parents.
