Egyptian travel firms hope to revive fortunes during Ramadan

A pilgrimage to the holy site of Mecca is something every able Muslim must do at some stage of their lives. With an 80 million strong, mostly Muslim population, thousands choose to make the trip from Egypt during Ramadan -- a month of daytime fasting and prayer. These trips also mean a chance for the country's tour operators to make some serious money. When fears of the H1N1 virus gripped many in 2009, numbers dropped off.
