Servicemen killed in Afghanistan named

A British marine killed in an explosion in Afghanistan on Friday has been named by the Ministry of Defence (MoD) as Jonathan Crookes.
The 26-year-old reservist from 40 Commando Royal Marines died while on foot patrol in Sangin in Helmand Province.
Marine Crookes, from Halesowen, West Midlands, was one of four UK servicemen killed in the country on Friday and Saturday.
Meanwhile, a British soldier killed in an explosion in Afghanistan on Saturday was named as Sergeant David Monkhouse from the Royal Dragoon Guards.
The 35-year-old medical technician from Aspatria, Cumbria, was described as a devoted father, an "exceptional" soldier and a "character". He leaves his mother, Bobby, sister Deborah, his partner Fiona and daughter, Daisy-Twinkle.
The MoD also named the airman who died in a road accident on Friday as Senior Aircraftman Kinikki Griffiths.
Known as "Griff", the 20-year-old's comrades described him as a "consummate professional gunner" with "huge potential".
