Dance group Diversity unveiled a permanent memorial plaque to Michael Jackson in the foyer of the Lyric Theatre in London's West End.

Adrian Grant, Executive Director of the musical, met Michael Jackson over a twenty year period and has written many articles about the pop legend.

In a speech before the unveiling, Grant said: "I found him to be very down to earth, funny and kind. Always laughing and joking around, but also curious.

"He remained young at heart and was always looking to learn".

Diversity were due to perform at Michael's This Is It concerts in London before the superstar died. They said they were very saddened by the news of his death.

Perri Luc Kiely from the dance group was given the honour of unveiling the plaque.

Michael Jackson had told Kenny Ortega that he planned to see the show whilst performing his 'This Is It' concerts, but Jacko sadly died on 25 June 2010.

Adrian Grant said: "I so wish he had come to see the show, but more so I wish he was still here to entertain us all, and to raise his three beautiful children".
