Solar Missiles Captured in Indian Kashmir

In Indian Kashmir, security forces confiscated solar missiles that were ready to be launched, alarming authorities in the region.

Police suspect the missiles belong to Pakistan-based militant group Lashkar-e-Taiba.

[Muhammad Yousuf, Superintendent of Police]: (Urdu male)
"We first defused the missiles with the help of the bomb disposal squad and after that we seized the missiles."

India says Pakistan arms the militants.

However Islamabad denies arming the guerrillas, who have been fighting Indian forces since 1989.

Relations between the neighbors, who have fought three wars since 1947, went into a freeze after Pakistan-based militants attacked the Indian city of Mumbai in 2008, killing 166 people.
