"This is called close quarter battle. This technique we know but now we are being given master-level training. The aim behind the training camps is that we excel in these techniques and reduce the casualties and injuries during attacks and fights. This will enable us to fight our enemy with confidence."

The state’s home minister says these camps should be organized more often and even include civilians.

[Uma Shankar Gupta, State Home Minister]: Hindi male
"We also want civilians like women, girls and youth who are eager to enter the forces or want to learn self defense to be given adequate training in this regard. This will be a great way to help protect our society and benefit us all."

Police officials were also instructed in the use of various arms.
