Passenger Train Derails in Songkhla, Thailand

In southern Thailand, 20 people were injured after a passenger train derailed. Some of the train cars jumped the track around a bend, and two of them suffered heavy damage.

Rescuers rushed to the site to help passengers who were trapped inside the train and sent the injured people to nearby hospitals.

Railways officials say they don’t know what caused the derailment. They are trying to move the train off the track in order to get service up and running again.
