Taliban Commander Arrested in Pakistan

A local court in Pakistan handed over an arrested Pakistani Taliban commander to police on Thursday for further interrogation.
The suspect, identified by police as Abdullah, was a commander from the Bajaur region on the Afghan border area.
Abdullah told interrogators that he had been involved in recruiting and training 270 teenage girls aged from 13 to 16 as suicide bombers.
He was arrested in Karachi on Wednesday.
The arrest coincides with the capture of the Taliban's second-in-command in Karachi by Pakistani and U.S. agents.
Washington has hailed Pakistan for that capture--the senior-most Taliban leader to be held since the movement was ousted from power in Afghanistan more than eight years ago.
