Role of Sikhism in strengthening the national fabric

Ludhiana, February 01: The Sikh religion is essentially what was preached; practiced and lived by the Sikh Gurus. And those who live by those teachings follow a `Sikh way of Life’. A brave and hard-working community, Sikhs in India have contributed immensely to strengthening the national fabric. In the past, they took on the Mughals and the British as warriors. Today, they are successful entrepreneurs, farmers and work in the defense forces. Though Sikhism has many sects such as Namdhari, Nirankari, Nihang, they all believe in one God. They are against any act that divides the people or a nation through religion.
