Punjab Police – A Secular Force

Punjab,January 25: Service to Humanity - is the motto of Punjab Police Academy,Phillaur.The academy that was born in 1891 and is located in the Phillaur Fort is India's first Police Training School.Its mission is to train officers for Punjab Police and other states,who can lead the force with courage,dedication and a strong sense of service to the people.In about 150 years of its existence,Punjab police has earned a name in the country for effective policing,discipline and highly professional attitude.It has successfully tackled many difficult phases like India’s partition in 1947 and terrorism in 1980s and early 90s.
