Rebranding Nigeria in Darkness @ 49

This is an amateur recording of the departure/boarding lounge[28/09/2009] at the Muritala Muhammed Airport Lagos where there was no lights as passengers departed on international flights out of the country. I wonder what the officials in charge and the rebranding team in Abuja will have to say.
This is a security threat that could have allowed passengers unnoticed, to get away with their acts that could threaten the safety of everyone at the airport.
The better part of the video is shot in the darkness while boarding, while you could possibly hear some airline staff calling for their passengers in the darkness. I had an European lady tag onto my shirt in the darkness for direction while I made way with my phone light. Be patient enough to get to the end of this short video where passengers where asked for their boarding passes in semi darkness without proper screening.
The airport officials did make attempts to provide lamps with one on a corridor that was almost 50meters long.
