00:00The President of the Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky,
00:03in Berlin, welcome to the Kanzleramt in Berlin.
00:06I really appreciate it, Volodymyr,
00:07that we can do this today with the videoconferences
00:11to do this.
00:13Today is the 13th August.
00:18This is the day of the Mauer's day in 1961.
00:23Today, 64 years later,
00:26we know that it was the Sinnbild
00:27of the German and the European division.
00:30We know that this was the division of Germany and Europe
00:35and that we were to overcome that division.
00:37But we know that since three and a half years,
00:40the Russian war in Ukraine
00:42has the wound of the European division
00:45again on the European division.
00:47The President of the United States, Donald Trump,
00:51will now the talks about peace in Ukraine
00:54in the end.
00:56Am Freitag will er sich in Alaska
00:58mit dem russischen PrÀsidenten Putin treffen.
01:02In Anchorage können wichtige Entscheidungen getroffen werden.
01:07Wir EuropÀer tun deshalb alles in unserer Kraft Stehende,
05:08und notwendigen Druck gegen Russland setzen.
06:11Vielen Dank.
06:11Thank you very much.
06:13Thank you, Friedrich.
06:15Thank you, Germany, for inviting us.
06:18We are working today with the Chancellor in four formats.
06:23First, it's our suicide track.
06:25Thank you for all the points that we discussed.
06:29We are very grateful to Germany for its assistance and strengthening of our country,
06:35of our security, of our forces.
06:43At the beginning of this war, we worked on the level of European leaders.
06:47The third track was the talk with the U.S. President,
06:51and then we will talk about the future security and the conditional billy format.
07:03I want to thank all the partners for supporting Ukraine.
07:06And we spoke with President Trump today,
07:08who wants one thing, peace, peace, and the European leaders between Europe and the U.S.
07:20The whole week, as of last Wednesday, we were communicating quite intensely among the European leaders between Europe and the U.S.
07:32between us and representatives of other parts of the world, who wants one thing, peace in Ukraine, peace in Germany.
07:40Today, the conversations were discussed with the President of the U.S.
07:45Good for that we had a coordination to talk with five common points,
07:53which I want to ask another thank you for your leadership in the direction.
08:01This is the format of our negotiation.
08:04Everything about Ukraine will be discussed with Ukraine.
08:08We have to get prepared the three-side format of the conversation.
08:13There should be a ceasefire first, then security guarantees, real security guarantees.
08:19And, by the way, President Trump expressed his support for that.
08:22Also, among those principles, Russia cannot have a veto as to the European or NATO perspectives of the Ukraine.
08:32And we have to combine the negotiations with the pressure against Russia.
08:37Sanctions should be strengthened if Russia will not go to ceasefire in Alaska.
08:43It's very important for these things to work.
08:46Of course, we discussed the battlefields today.
08:49The President of the U.S. and President Trump and all European allies, Putin is bluffing, he's trying to push before the Alaska meeting, and all directions of our front-line Russia wants to occupy the whole Ukraine.
09:08This is his mission.
09:09And Putin is bluffing that sanctions is nothing and they don't work.
09:13In fact, sanctions are hitting Russia more economy hard.
09:19It's true.
09:20Russia has a lot of weapons, many signs over than we have, but it's three times more.
09:28But they sustaining three times more lossless.
09:32The President of the United States said about it to our European friends, he wants to occupy our country, and Putin definitely doesn't want peace.
09:39He will also occupy Ukraine.
09:41And we all defend that Putin cannot destroy anyone.
09:45We need future and further pressure and European and American sanctions against Russia.
09:51And together, our union partners can stop the war with Putin.
09:58We spoke with the President of the United States.
10:00We hope that the central and topical political crisis fire emitted this fire with President Trump was mentioning it many times.
10:10He suggested that after the Alaska meeting, we will have a contract.
10:16We're discussing all the results.
10:19If there will be results, and we'll decide our next common steps.
10:26We'll have the meeting of the condition of the willing, and this is our aim.
10:31That's why we work.
10:33Thank you, everyone who helps us.
10:36Thanks again, Friedrich.
10:37Glory to Ukraine.
10:38Glory to Ukraine.
10:48Olya Tanisichuk.
10:49Olya Tanisichuk.
10:50You Ukrainian agency, news agency.
10:54You mentioned yesterday, talking to Ukrainian media, that Ukraine will not leave Donbas in exchange of the fire.
11:04Did you change your position after your today's negotiation?
11:07today's negotiations in Berlin. And the question to the Chancellor Merz is one of the preconditions of CISFIRE
11:23is the weakening of sanctions against Russia. And what security guarantees Europe can agree upon?
11:31Can I begin? Please. Thank you. Thank you for your question. As to my position, it's unchanged because it has a ground in the form of a Ukrainian constitution until a constitution is changed. My position is not changing. We discussed these difficult issues.
11:55Any issue which deals with the territorial integrity of Ukraine cannot be discussed just like that without looking at our constitution, our people and the will of our people. Thank you.
12:13We have of course also talked about the issue of the Waffenstillstand. President Trump will this to one of his priorities on Friday in the conversation with President Putin.
12:27And I hope very, that it will come to an appropriate agreement.
12:32Because until now, all the discussions that have been carried out with Putin in the past three and a half years have been carried out with a noch hÀrteren
12:41military response. That must this time be different. Otherwise, the discussions that have been carried out with him are not believed and not effective.
12:51We are going to agree on that President Trump will also try to make it happen.
12:58Thank you very much.
13:00Mr. President, a question in relation to the security guarantee.
13:05Have I understood it correctly, that President Trump has said to the Ukraine security guarantee?
13:11And how would they be prepared to make it happen? And how would they be prepared to make it happen with Putin?
13:18And a question to President Zelensky, in relation to President Zelensky, when it comes to the situation.
13:24What conditions would you be prepared to talk about Putin?
13:30And what would you be prepared to talk about him with President Zelensky?
13:34Is this a historic moment or is this one of many meetings?
13:38We have talked briefly about security guarantee.
13:50We know that Ukraine needs security guarantee.
13:53We have said that Ukraine needs security guarantee.
13:55We have also pointed out how the Ukrainian army will continue to protect the country,
14:02and how the security guarantees would look like.
14:07That was not the case of the conversation today, but that will be followed,
14:12as soon as the way to a peace is open.
14:15It would be part of the path to peace.
14:18You know, I think that success of any of the negotiations depends on the result and the results.
14:31The mood is united and unified.
14:36It was very positive.
14:38All the partners demonstrated one voice, one wish, one wish and one wish.
14:44This mood is a very important crux of the moment.
14:50As to the historical meaning of the moment, I wouldn't like to take these loud words.
14:57Let's go on the result.
14:59In any case, he is his, which you were asking, as principles as a territorial integrity,
15:09and in the end, it will be decided on the level of leaders without Ukraine.
15:15It's impossible to achieve.
15:17And by the way, everyone supports that.
15:22Thank you very much.
