00:00Oh, Christmas, the most beautiful time of the year.
00:21Pretty decorations, friendly people, festive holiday dress.
00:30Oh, Christmas tree, oh, Christmas tree.
00:37And all that lovely music.
00:40Oh, branches.
00:42But perhaps the most beautiful thing about Christmas is the Christmas tree itself, all lit up and decorated for the holidays.
00:50Christmas trees can be adorned in so many different ways.
00:53With ornaments that shimmer like snowflakes or shine like tiny suns.
01:02With strands of popcorn or cranberries.
01:05With ribbons and lace.
01:07And with tinsel that glitters like delicate icicles.
01:12But of course, the shining glory of a Christmas tree is what's on top.
01:15The star.
01:16Of course, I may be biased.
01:23But even without all these fancy decorations, Christmas trees are special.
01:29Because they remind us that this is the season when we should all love one another.
01:33One of the most beautiful Christmas trees I've ever seen started out thinking that she wasn't good enough to be a Christmas tree at all.
01:46This is her story.
01:48Oh, Christmas tree, oh, Christmas tree, oh, Christmas tree, however green your branches.
02:05They're green when summer days are bright, they're green when winter snow is white, oh, Christmas tree, oh, Christmas tree, however green your branches.
02:35I love you.
03:03Oops!
03:08Woo, I need some snowshoes.
03:12Now, where were we?
03:14Oh, yes.
03:18Our story began one snowy Christmas Eve
03:22when a little squirrel went out hunting for nuts.
03:27Hmm, he, uh...
03:29He's probably gathering berries in a different part of the forest.
03:33Ah, ha! There he is.
03:38Hey, you're not a squirrel.
03:41Now, where could he be?
03:45I think we found our squirrel.
03:47Come here, you big, beautiful acorns.
03:50You can run, but you can't hide.
03:54I'm too quick for you.
03:56Your outsmarting days are over, so why don't you...
03:59Huh?
04:00Oh, my gosh.
04:02I overslept, all known.
04:03Oh, my gosh.
04:04I missed breakfast.
04:06One of the three most important meals of the day.
04:09Thank heavens for brunch.
04:16Let me see now.
04:19Where would...
04:20Ah, perhaps over here.
04:22Oh, well.
04:28Oh, well.
04:31Let's see.
04:31Oh, here's...
04:32This is...
04:34Look at...
04:35Nothing.
04:42Oh, boy.
04:42Next year, I am definitely going to listen to my friends and do my shopping early.
04:47There's no nuts anywhere.
04:49Oh, here's...
04:54Uh-huh.
05:06Oh...
05:08Uh-huh.
05:10Whoa.
05:11Whoa.
05:11Oww.
05:11¡Oh!
05:13¡Ow!
05:15¡Boy, es increíble como un rock que se ve como una frontera!
05:19¡Hey, hay unos unos en ese árbol!
05:21¡Maybe I can knock them out!
05:29¡Ow!
05:30No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
05:34¡Es muy raro!
05:36¡Mosos creadores nunca piensan a lo que nos gusta!
05:39¡Oh!
05:40¡Hey!
05:41¡Who said that?
05:42¡I did!
05:43¡Where are ya?
05:44Hiding behind that little tree?
05:45¡Not exactly!
05:46¡I don't get it!
05:47¡Yoohoo!
05:48¡I am that little tree!
05:51¡Your what?
05:52You mean trees can talk?
05:54¡Why not?
05:55¡If squirrels can talk, why not trees?
05:59¡I don't know!
06:00¡I just never heard one before, that's all!
06:02¡Oh, we talk all the time!
06:04¡We just don't usually talk to anybody but other trees!
06:09¡But the other trees won't talk to me!
06:12¡Why not?
06:13¡Because I'm not big enough or pretty enough!
06:16¡I was planted to be a Christmas tree!
06:19¡But they always pass me by!
06:21¡Every year!
06:23¡I'm just not good enough to be a Christmas tree!
06:26¡And the other trees know it!
06:28¡So they won't even talk to you!
06:30¡Huh!
06:31¡Who wants to be like them anyway?
06:32¡All I've ever wanted was to be a Christmas tree and bring joy to the world!
06:37¡But I guess I'll never get my chance!
06:40¡I've never even seen a real Christmas tree!
06:43¡You haven't!
06:45¡Say!
06:46¡I've seen plenty of them!
06:47¡You don't mind, do you?
06:48¡No!
06:49¡Climb aboard!
06:50¡But tell me about Christmas trees!
06:52¡What do they look like?
06:54¡Are they beautiful?
06:55¡Do they glow in the dark?
06:56¡Sure!
06:57¡Some of them!
06:58I remember this one Christmas.
06:59I was digging trash cans outside this big white house.
07:05Oh, boy.
07:06Looky here.
07:07Leftover french fries.
07:08My favorite.
07:12Oh, wow.
07:13Oh, I've never seen anything so tall.
07:20And ornaments.
07:21Oh, oh, boy.
07:23It had a million of them.
07:24Yeah.
07:25It was so huge.
07:26Enough to be a Christmas tree for the whole country.
07:30Tell me some more.
07:31Are all Christmas trees that big?
07:34Oh, gosh.
07:35No.
07:36No, no, no.
07:37They come in different shapes and sizes.
07:38Yep.
07:39All kinds of decorations.
07:40Follow the bouncing pine cone.
07:43There's Douglas fir and scotch pine,
07:46Silver tip and more.
07:48Some are plastic.
07:49Look fantastic.
07:50Buy them in the store.
07:52They're short and fat and full and thin,
07:54And flock in snowy white.
07:56Hey, cover them with candy canes
07:58And lots of blinking lights.
08:00Oh, Christmas trees.
08:02Hey, Christmas trees.
08:04With lots of presents, large and small.
08:09Christmas trees.
08:11Christmas trees.
08:12A vision for one and all.
08:15And all, all together now.
08:19There's tinsel and popcorn strings
08:21And little bitty angels.
08:23Every branch tells a tale with ornaments that dangle.
08:27Above it all shines a star, oh, so bold and bright.
08:31It's the spirit of Christmas in a golden light.
08:36Oh, Christmas tree.
08:38Hey, Christmas trees.
08:40With lots of presents, large and small.
08:44Christmas trees.
08:46Christmas trees.
08:48A vision for one and all.
08:51Bow to your partner now.
08:53Christmas trees.
08:54Hey, Christmas trees.
08:56Standing proud and tall.
09:01Christmas trees.
09:03Christmas trees.
09:05A vision for one and all.
09:08I love them all.
09:10So they're mostly straight and tall and full of needles.
09:16Not like me at all.
09:18I don't know.
09:19I bet you'd be a great Christmas tree.
09:23You really think so?
09:25Sure.
09:26Let's take a closer look at you.
09:29Meanwhile, in a little cave in a different part of the forest,
09:33a bear family was peacefully hibernating.
09:44Knock it off, will ya?
09:49It's no use.
09:58How do you expect me to hibernate when you're snoring like that?
10:03Papa!
10:04Papa!
10:09Ouch!
10:10Mama, can I invite a friend over?
10:16This is ridiculous.
10:18I can't stay here all winter and listen to them snore.
10:21I gotta get out of here.
10:29Wow.
10:30This is beautiful.
10:32So this is what winter looks like.
10:36You see, the baby bear had never seen snow and ice before.
10:39And like most youngsters experiencing their first winter,
10:42he was curious to learn all about it.
10:45And so the little bear went off through the woods exploring.
10:50And how did you stingy?
10:52Hey guys!
10:53Come here.
10:54Can I play with you?
10:55Hey...
10:56where did everybody go?
10:57Hey, guys, come here.
11:07Can I play with you?
11:11Hey, where did everybody go?
11:16Oh, boy.
11:22Still not quite right.
11:26There.
11:27Perfect.
11:32Oh, great.
11:35I sure am thirsty.
11:38Ow.
11:40What's wrong with this water anyway?
11:42How am I supposed to drink this?
11:46This is just perfect.
11:52I'm not sure I like winter as much as I thought I did.
11:56Hey, this lake is frozen solid.
12:05How weird.
12:06Oh, fun.
12:18Now, see, this is definitely your good side.
12:34Really?
12:34Oh, yeah, yeah.
12:35Really, it's...
12:36Hey, you hear something?
12:38Whoa, what was that?
12:52I don't know.
12:53Well, maybe we, uh, you better check it out.
12:58I'll hold down the fort back here.
13:01I can't reach.
13:03Me neither.
13:05Mm-mm.
13:05Okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, I'm going.
13:12Say, that's one honey of an acorn.
13:14Oh, it's a bear.
13:21Where?
13:22Where?
13:22Where?
13:23Oh, you mean me.
13:27Oh, I sure do.
13:28Don't worry about me.
13:32I won't hurt you.
13:34Yeah, but will you, uh, eat me?
13:37Nah, I don't even like squirrels.
13:40My mom and dad are always after me at dinner.
13:42Eat your squirrel.
13:43What's wrong with the squirrel?
13:45At least try a...
13:46Okay, okay, um, we get the picture.
13:49You don't eat wood, do you?
13:51Who said that?
13:53She did.
13:54Who did?
13:55I did.
13:56But who are you?
13:58I'm sorry, should have introduced you.
14:00Bear, tree, tree, bear.
14:03Hi.
14:04Well, hello.
14:06It's a pleasure to meet you.
14:08How come you're not hibernating like the rest of the bears?
14:11I don't know.
14:12Couldn't sleep.
14:13Have you tried warm milk?
14:15Would that make my parents stop snoring?
14:17Anyways, I thought I'd stay up a while and see what winter's like.
14:22How do you like it so far?
14:24It's neat.
14:25Kind of slippery, though.
14:27And the water's a little rough on your tongue.
14:30You know, um, I've always wondered, what's it like sleeping all winter long?
14:34It's okay.
14:35Some things about it I don't like.
14:37Oh, like what?
14:39My dad was reading me a story and fell asleep before the end,
14:42and now I've got to wait till spring to hear how it comes out.
14:46That's too bad.
14:48Oh, and I've never seen Christmas.
14:51You haven't?
14:53I'm always asleep.
14:54Oh, that's terrible.
14:56But this year I'm up.
14:58You know what I really want to see most of all?
15:00What?
15:01A Christmas tree.
15:03I've heard they're beautiful.
15:04The squirrel looked at the little tree.
15:16Then he looked at the little bear.
15:18And he had a great idea.
15:25Say, listen.
15:26What?
15:27Since you want to see a Christmas tree, and, uh, you want to be a Christmas tree,
15:31why don't we decorate you?
15:32Could we?
15:34You really think so?
15:37Well, why not?
15:38I know what Christmas trees are supposed to look like,
15:41and I'm sure that we can find some stuff to trim you with.
15:43Gosh, sounds great to me.
15:45Hey, tree, what do you think?
15:47I think it's like a dream come true.
15:52So the baby bear and the little squirrel decided to make the tree's fondest hopes a reality.
15:59The only problem was they weren't sure where to begin.
16:03Okay, so what do we do?
16:05Do we hang something?
16:06Do we drape something?
16:08Do we wrap something around it?
16:10Well, I'm not sure.
16:14I thought you knew all about Christmas trees.
16:17Oh, I've seen a lot of them.
16:19Only it's been a while.
16:21Oh.
16:22Well, maybe we better do some research.
16:25Okay.
16:26I don't know what that is, but I'm all for it.
16:29Come on, follow me.
16:31Oh, uh, we'll be back in a little while.
16:33Yeah, don't go away.
16:35I mean...
16:38Uh, well, bye.
16:40Bye.
16:44Is this the place?
16:54Ooh, that's pretty.
16:56See all the ornaments?
16:57Ornaments?
16:58What's that?
17:00The little balls and things hanging from the branches.
17:03Oh, nice.
17:04They sparkle.
17:06Will ours sparkle?
17:07Sure, sure, sure, sure.
17:08No, uh, we'll do our best.
17:10Oh, no!
17:16What's the matter?
17:17Did somebody see us?
17:18The tree, it's on fire!
17:20Uh-huh.
17:22Oh, you silly dumb.
17:24Those are just lights.
17:26Lights?
17:27Uh, but we can't have those on our tree.
17:29Why not?
17:30Well, you gotta plug them in.
17:31They're electric.
17:32What does that mean?
17:34Oh, I don't believe this.
17:34Don't you know what electricity is?
17:36Some kind of fish?
17:37Oh, skip it.
17:41Ooh, what's that on top?
17:43Well, that's one of the most important parts of all.
17:46That's a star.
17:49A star?
17:51From the sky?
17:52How'd they get it?
17:53Aren't they too high to reach?
17:54Oh, for gosh sakes, it's not a real star.
17:57It's a...
17:57I know, maybe it was a falling star.
18:00And somehow they found it and put it on their tree.
18:02And they had to be very careful,
18:04because it was probably really, really hot and...
18:07Oh, boy.
18:09I'll explain it to you later, okay?
18:11I want to get a closer look.
18:13Be careful.
18:16Oh, I wouldn't do this if I were you.
18:18Boy, the humans, they...
18:19When they...
18:20They don't like it.
18:21Oh, I'm not scared of humans.
18:24Squirrel, will our tree be as pretty as that?
18:27Are you kidding?
18:28It's twice as good.
18:29Three times a...
18:30A whole bunch more.
18:32Kids, I'll be right back.
18:33I'm just going to throw this old stuff away.
18:35Come on, Bear.
18:54Who turned off the lights?
18:57Hey, wait for me.
19:02Wait for me.
19:16What's his problem?
19:17I'm just a squirrel.
19:18Where have you been?
19:26I thought you weren't scared of humans.
19:28That was a human?
19:30I thought it was a people.
19:31I'm scared of people.
19:34Whatever.
19:34Hey, look what I got.
19:35Our very first ornament.
19:38Gee, it's sort of bent up.
19:40Hey, so was our tree.
19:41But that doesn't matter.
19:43By the time we're done with them,
19:44they're both going to be beautiful.
19:45Come on, come on.
20:05Oh, sorry.
20:06I got a little late start with my Christmas mailing.
20:10Speaking of starts,
20:12our friends the Baby Bear and the Squirrel
20:14are off to a pretty good one.
20:17They found their very first ornament.
20:20It may not seem like much,
20:23but you have to start somewhere
20:24to make a Christmas dream come true.
20:28So when they got back to the tree,
20:30they proudly hung its very first ornament
20:33and stepped back to get a good look at it.
20:37Oh, I like it.
20:38I like it.
20:38What do you think?
20:39Hmm.
20:44Oh, yeah.
20:45Much better.
20:45What about you, tree?
20:47You like it?
20:48Tree?
20:49Something wrong?
20:50Oh, nothing.
20:52It's just that,
20:53well, for the first time,
20:55I'm really starting to believe
20:57that I'm actually going to be a Christmas tree.
21:01Oh, you haven't seen anything yet?
21:02Come on, Bear.
21:11You know, I'm getting sort of hungry.
21:14Don't say things like that.
21:15It makes me a little nervous, you know.
21:18Oh, boy.
21:18Meanwhile, the tree's first ornament,
21:23the Nutcracker,
21:24was just waking up for the holidays.
21:30Whoa.
21:31Where am I?
21:32Hey, I'm on a tree.
21:35All right.
21:36Woo-hoo!
21:45Well, hello there.
21:47You're my very first decoration.
21:50No kidding.
21:52I don't mind telling you,
21:53I was a little worried.
21:55Really?
21:56Yeah.
21:58After the dog knocked me to the floor last year
22:01and chewed me up,
22:02I was sure they'd throw me away.
22:04Here I am.
22:05The first decoration of the year.
22:09Not bad for an old guy like me.
22:12Hey, wait a second.
22:14This isn't the living room.
22:16Where's that kid who always uses me to hit his sister?
22:19Where's the dog?
22:21Where are the boxes of tinsel and garland and stuff?
22:25Tinsel and garland?
22:27Where's that cute little sugarplum fairy
22:30who always winks at me?
22:31Where am I?
22:33I'm so confused.
22:36Oh, look at all.
22:44Hey, that doesn't look as good
22:45as the baby bear snow angel.
22:48Oh well, sometimes things don't work out as planned.
22:50And as our friend the Nutcracker is finding out.
22:59Calm down, okay?
23:01I'm afraid I know what happened.
23:03What?
23:05Well, you were thrown away.
23:08I was?
23:09Yeah, but don't worry about it.
23:11I'm sort of a throwaway too.
23:14And besides, my friends found you
23:16and now you're decorating me.
23:18So everything turned out okay.
23:21Let me get this straight.
23:23I was tossed out with the trash.
23:26And now I'm hanging on some reject
23:28in the middle of nowhere.
23:30And you think that's a happy ending?
23:32Well?
23:36Hey, tree, tree.
23:38Yeah?
23:39I was just upset.
23:40I didn't mean to call you a reject.
23:43Oh, that's okay.
23:44Besides, it's true.
23:46If I was pretty enough to be a real Christmas tree,
23:50I wouldn't be here.
23:51Hey, don't put yourself down.
23:53You're not so bad.
23:55Who needs needles?
23:57And I've always said,
23:59straight tree trunks are a fathom pass.
24:02You're okay, kid.
24:04You're fine.
24:05Thanks.
24:06So the nutcracker ornament sighed to himself
24:09at his fall from grace.
24:13Meanwhile, the squirrel and the bear were quite busy.
24:17Since they couldn't buy ornaments,
24:19they had to rely on their own ingenuity.
24:24And they turned out to be pretty ingenious.
24:27How do we make ornaments?
24:28Well, the first thing that you do
24:30is gather up some nuts.
24:31Of course, I wouldn't imagine
24:33that you would know much
24:34about the art of nut gathering.
24:36It's a chess match.
24:37Really, made all the more difficult
24:39by a nut's uncanny elusiveness.
24:42Oh, yes, yes.
24:43The acorn in particular
24:45has proven a worthy adversary.
24:49Agile, daring,
24:51mine like a trap.
24:52We squirrels are natural gatherers.
24:55Hey, squirrel, look!
24:58I guess you could say
24:59that we're just blessed
25:00with the ability to...
25:01Hey, where'd you get all those nuts?
25:04I just looked around
25:05and there they were.
25:07Ha, ha.
25:08Uh, beginner's luck.
25:10Like it?
25:11Oh, it looks delicious.
25:13I could...
25:13I mean, pretty.
25:15Thanks.
25:16Just using my electricity.
25:18Well, sure, that's great,
25:19but take a gander at these.
25:21Pine cones?
25:22Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
25:23We could paint them.
25:24I've got a lot of berries
25:25stored in my tree.
25:26Neat!
25:27Oh, our Christmas tree's
25:29going to look so great.
25:30Hey, how's about some Christmas music
25:32to get us into the holiday spirit,
25:33you know?
25:34Sure!
25:35Okay!
25:36A one, a two,
25:37a one, two, and a three.
25:39Our Christmas tree,
25:41our Christmas tree
25:42is really nice and friendly.
25:45We think that she's a pretty tree,
25:48although she's short and spindly.
25:50We're making stuff to decorate.
25:53We'd like to help if we're not too late.
25:56Okay.
25:57Our Christmas tree,
25:59our Christmas tree,
26:00we'll treat her nice and gingerly.
26:03We have new friends to help us out.
26:05She'll be grand and there's no doubt.
26:09The story of our Christmas tree.
26:11We'll have a happy endily.
26:14It rhymes.
26:20So, what can we do?
26:22Let's see.
26:23Well, you've got nice big teeth.
26:26Gosh, thanks.
26:28You know what?
26:29I got it.
26:30Why don't you see if you can carve
26:31some pretty designs on these nuts?
26:33Okie dokie.
26:36Yeah.
26:37I think you might have overcarved
26:39that one a little.
26:42Let's go easy on the rest of them, huh?
26:43What about me?
26:45I got it.
26:46You can use your tail to paint the pine cones.
26:49Oh, boy.
26:51We'd like to help.
26:53Sure, sure.
26:54What about me?
26:56Can I help?
27:00Sure, sure.
27:01I know where we could get some tinsel.
27:04Great.
27:05But I need some help.
27:08Okay.
27:09I'll go with you.
27:10I'm not scared.
27:14I'll lead the way.
27:16Uh, that's okay.
27:17I'd rather, um, be in front.
27:20Come on.
27:20Let's go.
27:22And so the forest animals worked together,
27:26making the most beautiful Christmas ornaments
27:28they could to decorate their little tree.
27:30Thank you.
27:32Wow.
27:36Let's go.
27:48¡Suscríbete al canal!
28:18¡Wooow!
28:20¡Oh!
28:22Are you okay?
28:24I think so.
28:26You're funny.
28:30Come on.
28:32The tinsel's right over here.
28:40That's it.
28:48Oh, my.
28:50Oh.
28:52Oh.
28:54Oh.
28:56Oh.
28:58Oh.
29:00Oh.
29:02Oh.
29:04Oh.
29:06Oh.
29:08Oh.
29:10Oh.
29:12Oh.
29:14Yeah, we'll be back with some more.
29:16Oh.
29:18Gee, just look at all these beautiful decorations.
29:22Yeah, they're okay, I guess.
29:24What's wrong with them?
29:26I don't know.
29:28It's just not the sort of stuff I'm used to seeing on a Christmas tree, that's all.
29:32Where's the shiny foil?
29:33Where's the glitter?
29:34Where's the sequins?
29:36This stuff is all so, so natural.
29:39That's what I love about it.
29:41But I mean, none of it even runs on a battery.
29:45Real Christmas decorations come from a store.
29:48Like me.
29:49Nothing says Christmas like bright, shiny tinsel.
30:03Nothing says Christmas like electricity.
30:06Give me lights, give me action.
30:08A spectacular attraction that defies gravity.
30:14Picture this.
30:15Dancing angels, silver ornaments and more.
30:17Picture this.
30:18Lights flash red and blue.
30:21Every year it gets bigger.
30:23Things are brighter and move quicker.
30:25It's Christmas with an attitude.
30:31Nothing says Christmas like glitz and glamour.
30:34Nothing says Christmas like D-sized batteries.
30:38It's really quite a show.
30:40Everything glows.
30:42It's got personality.
30:45Picture this.
30:46Neon snowmen holding signs flashing peace.
30:49Picture this.
30:50Spaceships orbiting the tree.
30:52Every year it gets bigger.
30:54Things are brighter and move quicker.
30:56That's the way it should be.
30:59Can you see the possibilities?
31:03Now that's a Christmas tree.
31:04Now that's a Christmas tree.
31:06Now that's a Christmas tree.
31:10You're just cynical.
31:12All I know is my friends made every one of these ornaments just for me.
31:16They took things they found in the forest and they made them into something wonderful.
31:23You say so.
31:26Well, I guess the nutcracker had his own idea of how a Christmas tree should look.
31:30But that didn't dampen the little tree's spirits.
31:32And as the animals finished their labor of love, she couldn't have been happier.
31:37Well, that's the last one.
31:41How do I look?
31:43Oh, you look like a real Christmas tree.
31:47Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
31:48You sure do.
31:49You look great.
31:50Wow.
31:51Thanks.
31:52Thank you all very much.
31:55Wait a second.
31:58We almost forgot the most important thing of all.
32:01What?
32:02Be back in a minute.
32:04Where do you suppose he's going?
32:15Perfect.
32:16Ooh.
32:19And now the most important finishing touch was in place.
32:23The little tree was a Christmas tree at last.
32:27Oh, gee, that's pretty, isn't it?
32:30Say, you know something?
32:32All this decorating has made me a little sleepy.
32:35We better get some rest.
32:37It's Christmas Eve, you know.
32:39Christmas Eve?
32:40Oh, my goodness.
32:41We better go.
32:42Shh.
32:43Come on.
32:46We'll be back in the morning tree, and we'll have a real Christmas celebration.
32:51Merry Christmas!
32:52Merry Christmas!
32:53Okay.
32:54Good night!
32:55And thanks!
32:59Squirrel?
33:00Bear?
33:01Yeah?
33:02I just wanted to say a special thanks.
33:03Thanks for making my dream come true.
33:05Oh, gosh.
33:06Sure.
33:07See you in the morning.
33:08Merry Christmas!
33:09Hey, kid.
33:10Where do you live anyhow?
33:11I don't know.
33:12I mean, I'm not sure I can find it in the dark.
33:18Well, why don't you bunk with me?
33:20Gosh!
33:21Can I?
33:22Oh, sure.
33:23Yeah, no problem.
33:24Well, I couldn't let you sleep out here in the cold.
33:25And I'll tell you what.
33:26Tomorrow, I'll help you find your home.
33:27Oh, thank you very much.
33:28You don't know how much I appreciate this.
33:29Thank you very much.
33:30You don't know how much I appreciate this.
33:31Thank you very much.
33:32Thank you very much.
33:33You don't know how much I appreciate this.
33:35You think it'll still look this good in the morning?
33:36Come on.
33:37Are you kidding?
33:38Christmas morning?
33:39Well, that's when Christmas trees look their best.
33:40Really?
33:41Oh, absolutely.
33:42But you know, it's kind of hard to explain, but the, um, the, um, the, um, the, um, the
33:43things seem to shine a little brighter on Christmas morning.
33:44Oh, sure.
33:45It's kind of part of the magic of Christmas.
33:46You'll see.
33:47Oh, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
33:50You think it'll still look this good in the morning?
33:53Come on.
33:54Are you kidding?
33:55Christmas morning?
33:56Well, that's when Christmas trees look their best.
33:59Really?
34:00Oh, absolutely.
34:01But, you know, it's kind of hard to explain, but, um, things seem to shine a little brighter
34:06on Christmas morning.
34:07Oh, sure.
34:08It's kind of part of the magic of Christmas.
34:11You'll see.
34:13Good night.
34:20Come on.
34:21Come on.
34:22Come on.
34:23Come on.
34:24You coming?
34:25I guess so.
34:35Hey, nice place you've got here.
34:38Oh, thank you.
34:39That's really great.
34:40Could you just kind of loosen a little?
34:44The little tree spent that Christmas Eve filled with joy, for all of her dreams had
34:50come true.
34:51She had no way of knowing that the best was yet to come.
34:59Tree.
35:00Oh, tree.
35:01Must be asleep.
35:02I never knew trees took naps.
35:04Hmm.
35:05Still a little primitive for my tastes.
35:09But there's something about this tree.
35:12The Nutcracker thought back to the little creatures working away to decorate their tree.
35:20He thought of the squirrel and the chipmunk working side by side, not arguing over who got the nuts.
35:27The bunnies, each lending a hand.
35:30The bear helping the deer.
35:37And the skunk pitching in as if they were old pals.
35:41Now, the Nutcracker may have been a cynic, but he knew the Christmas spirit when he saw it.
35:51And he knew this little tree had it.
35:54I'm just a beat-up old ornament, and I don't know much.
35:59But I do know that if any Christmas tree deserved to look beautiful, it's this one.
36:04It's Christmas Eve.
36:06And Santa, I know you're up there somewhere, flying around.
36:11I wish you could hear me.
36:13Dear Santa, I'm wishing with all my might.
36:33Amén.
37:03Wait a second. What's that?
37:10The little nutcracker ornament gazed at the sky as the brilliant object came closer and closer.
37:20For what he thought was a shooting star was really his Christmas wish coming true.
37:33Well, isn't this a lovely little tree?
37:51It's a lot more than that. It's about the best Christmas tree ever.
37:57You've been on quite a few Christmas trees in your time, haven't you little fella?
38:02So I was thrown away and I didn't think I'd ever end up on another tree.
38:07But I wound up on this one.
38:09And you think this is the best Christmas tree ever, eh?
38:14I didn't realize it at first, but I know it now.
38:17She got all those animals living together in peace, even being friends.
38:22I think she should have the best decorations ever. Not just some stuff gathered up off the ground.
38:29Mm-hmm. But don't you see? These are the best decorations ever. They were gathered and made with great love.
38:41If you just look around you, you'll see that you're surrounded by beauty.
38:46The little creatures who trimmed this tree knew that.
38:52Santa, I know you're right. And I know the tree is happy with them the way they are.
38:59But I just think she deserves something. I don't know what it is.
39:06Well, little fella. If you feel it in your heart, you'll touch it with your soul.
39:14Make it the tree you think it deserves to be.
39:18And now, I'd better be off. Don't want to fall behind and miss anybody.
39:25Ho, ho, ho! Merry Christmas!
39:33Gee, what did he mean?
39:36Touch it with my soul. Huh?
39:40All right!
39:43Yeah. I wonder...
39:46Yes!
39:51Woo-hoo! Yes!
39:55Let me just...
39:57I gotta get...
39:59Woo-hoo! Yes!
40:12Early next morning, in the squirrel's nest,
40:15the baby bear just couldn't sleep,
40:17as if he sensed that something marvelous had happened.
40:24Could you lie still, please?
40:27Sorry!
40:34Squirrel!
40:36What? You need another drink of water?
40:38No! Look!
40:39No! Look!
40:46I can't wait any longer! I gotta see it!
40:48Ew!
40:53You okay?
40:54Of course I am! It's Christmas!
41:04Wake up, everybody! It's Christmas!
41:07Wake up, everybody!
41:09Wake up!
41:11Wake up!
41:12Wake up!
41:13Wake up!
41:14It's still early!
41:15Huh?
41:17Wake up, everybody!
41:18Wake up!
41:19Wake up, everybody!
41:20Did somebody say Christmas?
41:22Wake up!
41:24Wake up, everybody!
41:26Oh, well.
41:27Merry Christmas!
41:29Wake up, everybody!
41:30Oh, my goodness!
41:31Oh, my goodness!
41:39Wake up, everybody!
41:41Needless to say, the animals were excited.
41:44But they couldn't have predicted their tree's spectacular transformation.
41:48Ooh!
41:49Ooh!
41:50Ooh!
41:51Ooh!
41:52Ooh!
41:53Ooh!
41:54Ooh!
41:55Ooh!
41:56Ooh!
41:57Ooh!
41:59You were right, Squirrel!
42:00It does look its best on Christmas morning!
42:03Oh, it sure does!
42:06Ah!
42:07My goodness!
42:09What time is it?
42:11I just...
42:13What's happened to me?
42:14You're turning into the tree you deserve to be.
42:19And now, for the piece de resistance.
42:41Look at you!
42:42You're beautiful!
42:45Gee!
42:47I am, aren't I?
42:50Did we really make that?
42:52It's so sparkly!
42:56I knew they'd look good.
42:58Well, Bear, we did it!
43:01We did, didn't we?
43:03We both used our electricity.
43:05Too bad my folks slept through it all.
43:08Well, frankly, I'm just as happy they did.
43:09To them, I'm just a mid-winter snack.
43:13No, you're not.
43:14You're my friend.
43:16Oh, gosh.
43:19Thanks, Bear.
43:21Nutcracker, I don't know exactly how you managed it,
43:25but I look more like a Christmas tree than I ever dreamed possible.
43:30Thanks, Nutcracker.
43:31Hey, my pleasure.
43:33Don't mention it.
43:35Just tell me one thing.
43:37While you were at it, why didn't you straighten up my trunk
43:41or put more needles on my branches
43:43so I'd be beautiful enough to deserve all these gorgeous ornaments?
43:47Because I've seen a lot of Christmas trees in my time,
43:51and you're already the most beautiful Christmas tree I've ever seen.
43:55Yeah!
43:58You see it!
44:00Woo!
44:02And you know what?
44:04The Nutcracker was right.
44:06Oh, Christmas tree!
44:19Oh, Christmas tree!
44:22How evergreen your branches
44:26Oh, Christmas tree. Oh, Christmas tree. However green your branches. They're green when summer days are bright. They're green when winter snow is white.

46:34Merry Christmas, everyone. Merry Christmas.
46:42There's Douglas fir and scotch pine, silver tip and more. Some are plastic, look fantastic. Buy them in the store.
47:02There's short and fat and toned, thin and flocked in snowy white. Hey, cover them with candy canes and lots of blinking lights.
47:10Oh, Christmas trees. Oh, Christmas trees. Oh, Christmas trees. Hey, Christmas trees. With lots of presents, large and small.
