00:00:57A capacity crowd is on hand on this 15th day of March, 1999 in Cincinnati at the First Star Center.
00:01:07It's Tony Schiavone, the Professor Mike Kinney, the one and only living legend of Larry Zbysko.
00:01:12Last night at WCW Uncensored will go down as one of the biggest nights in the history of world championship wrestling.
00:01:21Booker T becomes the TV champ, Chris Benoit, Dean Malenko, the horsemen win the world tag team belts.
00:01:29But on top of the list is the fact that nature boy Ric Flair is the heavyweight champion of the world for the 14th time.
00:01:38And Ric Flair is the president of WCW in charge of our company for his lifetime, Mike Denae.
00:01:45Tony, we knew that going into last night's Uncensored pay-per-view, it would be bizarre, it would be unpredictable, it turned out to be controversial as well.
00:01:54But you're right, bottom line, Flair's the champ and the boss to stay.
00:01:57Yes, he is.
00:01:58You know, it's the first time I've heard that slogan, for life, that I like it.
00:02:02The Ides of March did not smile upon the new world order and the dirtiest player in the game came through.
00:02:10We are gonna go back and show you some moments from that match.
00:02:13Mike said it was controversial.
00:02:15Yes, it was controversial.
00:02:16And yes, maybe Charles Robinson got caught up in the moment.
00:02:20But let me say this, on behalf of everybody at WCW to the NWO, too bad.
00:02:27Flair's the champ, live with it.
00:02:29Let's take a look at what happened in the Cruiserweight title match last night.
00:02:32And Uncensored, it was Mikey Wiprick making his debut against Kidman, the Cruiserweight champ.
00:02:38And I tell you guys, it was quite a debut by Wiprick.
00:02:41He had to really fend off the high-flying tactics of one Kidman Cruiserweight champ,
00:02:46who as always was on top of his game.
00:02:48Wiprick using the submission style wrestling on the mat to try to grab Kidman
00:02:52and use some very high-impact blows, such as a powerbomb as well.
00:02:57But in the end, it was Kidman fending off the challenge of Mikey Wiprick.
00:03:00And Kidman retained the WCW Cruiserweight title over Mikey Wiprick in a sensational match
00:03:07that happened last night, a part of Uncensored.
00:03:10Well, fans, this is just the beginning of a great night of professional wrestling for you.
00:03:15As you know, we're heading to Spring Breakout 1999 next Monday
00:03:19when we're in Panama City Beach, Florida.
00:03:21And we've been going to many campuses all around the country.
00:03:25As a matter of fact, you probably heard Ricky Rackman say
00:03:27that this week we're going to stop here in Cincinnati at the University of Cincinnati.
00:03:32Earlier today, the Bearcats and many of the Nitro greats
00:03:35and many of the greats of WCW had a Campus Clash.

00:04:56And we're gonna take you now before we go to the ring in our first match in just a few
00:04:59moments to some of the sights and sounds of what happened last night in Uncensored,
00:05:04courtesy of our good friends at WCW Magazine.
00:05:07It was Jerry Flynn in a handicap match, one on two,
00:05:11against the tandem of the Cats, Ernest Miller and Sonny Uno.
00:05:15And predictably, he had to contend to Jerry Flynn with two men, both men as a matter of
00:05:21fact.
00:05:22Sonny Uno say what he wants to about being undefeated, but even though Flynn had to take on two men,
00:05:28Jerry Flynn prevailed last night in that handicap match.
00:05:32That leads us to a fence conference heralded early today by Sonny Uno and the Cats.
00:05:38Ernest, what's your record since you've been here at WCW?
00:05:44Wait a minute, brother.
00:05:45Wait a minute.
00:05:46Everybody here knows me as the Cats.
00:05:48Don't call me Ernest again, okay?
00:05:50Either the greatest or the Cats.
00:05:53All right.
00:05:54Get that stupid smile off your face.

00:08:02I need to say this, living legend, of all the things the cat is mounting off right now.
00:08:07Did you hear what he said?
00:08:09He has no respect at all for pro wrestlers.
00:08:12Well, you said the cat was running amok.
00:08:14He can certainly run his mouth off, but I think he's just shooting his mouth off because
00:08:18of the embarrassment caused him by wrestlers.
00:08:22Cat's memory's not too good, is it?
00:08:24Claims he's undefeated.
00:08:25Talked about championship belts.
00:08:27It's a dream world.
00:08:28That's what it is.
00:08:29So out comes Jerry Flynn, fresh off of the wind, and then he garnered it.
00:08:34Well, the cat has had that short memory.
00:08:37I don't think, but no, but has no respect for pro wrestlers.
00:08:41Larry, you should be very upset about that.

00:08:46I'd snap his neck.
00:08:47He couldn't even beat Klondike Bill.
00:08:49And now, here is Ming.
00:08:52I don't know if you consider Ming a wrestler.
00:08:54He is a fighter, a brawler, and Jerry Flynn is certainly a kick bop artist.
00:09:00Well, I tell you what Ming is, Ming is an animal.
00:09:03I mean, you can do science against guys.
00:09:05You can come up with strategies.
00:09:06You can have game plans.
00:09:08Only thing you can do with Ming is leave him alone.
00:09:12Look at the incredible power, the strength of Ming as he just picked up Jerry Flynn
00:09:17and flung him across the ring.
00:09:19We are going to take you back to show you the history-making moments of Ric Flair
00:09:23and Hollywood Hogan from last night.
00:09:30It was a night that we will never forget.
00:09:33And there's a lot to be said about what we inspired last night.
00:09:38As a matter of fact, there's been a lot of very intense talk about Charles Robinson,
00:09:42the referee's involvement in what happened last night.
00:09:45And yes, I think on many accounts that Charles Robinson was one-sided.
00:09:50And I think on many accounts Charles Robinson made the wrong calls.
00:09:55But I'm also gonna say this and I'll say it again.
00:09:57And if NWO fans or NWO wrestlers are upset, I'm gonna say it every segment.
00:10:02Too bad.
00:10:03Go back many times to what the NWO, what Hollywood Hogan, what the Wolfpack's done to us.

00:10:10And I can understand, you can understand that really we right now are very excited
00:10:16that Ric Flair's the world champion and they deserve that happening to them
00:10:20regardless of how it happened last night.

00:11:20You gotta give the guy credit, but you can't approach Ming like a normal human being.
00:11:26And Jerry Flynn's finding out the hard way as the cat will someday at kicks and punches don't add up.

00:11:36They certainly can become a part of the repertoire, but they certainly do not lend to always winning matches.
00:11:42Ming, Jerry Flynn's showing us quite a fight in him here.

00:11:49See, right there, he's grabbing that leg almost out of frustration.
00:11:52He doesn't know what else to do.

00:12:01And great counter move by Ming, reaching through to grasp his hand with his other free hand.

00:12:47And Jerry Flynn just can't make him submit like that.

00:12:57That's good.
00:12:58As a matter of fact, the fans are rough.
00:13:01And they knew it was coming, and they knew there was nothing that Jerry Flynn could do about it.
00:13:08So Ming opens up the telecast with a win in typical Ming fashion.
00:13:16Just power, intensity, intimidation, and the funky defense grip.

00:18:24helping hack win the triangle match let's go to ricky rackley well one of the other things i like about
00:18:32nitro parties is not only nitro girls but free food martino's pizza always good and lately you don't know
00:18:41who's gonna show up at the nitro check it out right over here raven is actually hanging out at a
00:18:47nitro party hey dude raven i want to talk to you for a second you want to stand up whatever okay first of
00:18:55all uh last night during uncensored if you saw the fight it was it was pretty brutal i mean you were
00:19:01pretty much betrayed by your own sister head butted in the netherlands uh fire extinguisher the whole
00:19:08thing your own sister raven you know you'd have thought i'd seen it coming i mean i did set her
00:19:14hair on fire when we were six years old but you know i got her a job in wcw i got heck his job what
00:19:21about me what about raven i got a question raven this was your own sister i gotta think what's gonna
00:19:27happen like thanksgiving or family functions family functions suck the only reason i go to family functions
00:19:34and so i can sit at the kids table anyhow i go there for the money and i used to go to visit my
00:19:39sister if she thought the dutch ovens were horrible as a child wait till she sees what i do to her and
00:19:46hack i'm gonna crush both of you like jerry falwell and one of saturn's bondage balls both the raven

00:20:31that three-way match with hack now i'm sure claiming to be the king of hardcore was one of the wildest
00:20:37most outrageous matches ever in wcw what a good reason to check out the encore presentation of the wcw
00:20:44uncensored pay-per-view to take a look at that match up
00:20:49the on direct ticket with direct tv of course and on tv make sure you make the appropriate phone call to
00:21:10order the encore presentation of uncensored it was history last night on many fronts but i think it
00:21:18was history i think of all the bad things that we've touched on this before that's been done to wcw
00:21:24and i think back to what i consider the darkest day in wcw history which was january 4th 1999
00:21:31what they did to wcw to the world titling gold i'm talking about hogan i'm talking about nash
00:21:38i'm talking about that charade that travesty of a world title match and maybe they're going to
00:21:43complain about what happened last night maybe that charles robinson was a little bit slanted
00:21:48that was wcw fighting fire with fire that was the right thing to do
00:21:52it's about time it really was a night of redemption for world championship wrestling
00:21:58rick flair winning the world's title dean malenko and chris benoit capturing the tag team belt and
00:22:04defeating the dog face gremlin rick steiner's brother big papa pump scott steiner to win the tv belt
00:22:11rick steiner here against chris adams in this bout and rick steiner has rebounded looking as good as
00:22:16as good as chris adams is this is not looking down in his favor
00:22:39look at the aggression here by rick steiner one two three step back on that adam's literally
00:22:48helpless there on that bottom rope and steiner relentless
00:22:57but adam's fighting back steiner those shots to steiner's face having no effect at all
00:23:02adam's trying to pick him up and steiner just mauled him back in the corner
00:23:05what an exchange of punches between these two men rick the dog face gremlin steiner
00:23:12just put his shoulder right into chris adams running him into the corner thanks professor yes
00:23:18but this is what chris adams wants to do he's a very good submission wrestler
00:23:21steiner's trying to have him trapped in the corner and adams broke away
00:23:30the rear chin lock here applied chris adams fundamentally sound as a pro wrestler but
00:23:34i would dare say the power of rick steiner combined with what's been going on with his brother
00:23:44oh pick up and a good move there by chris adams he's back up steiner and adams with that super kick
00:23:52that caught him that's his move here's a cover one two and steiner got out of that hey a nice extension
00:23:58adams and adams nailed him bad luck steiner fit right next to the ropes how many people have
00:24:05lived after that super kick rick steiner able to lift the shoulder in a two count
00:24:10high risk move on the way from chris adams
00:24:12oh good job by rick steiner
00:24:17there's but no position steiner can't suplex you from
00:24:20oh my goodness the steiner line with intact and an elbow drop one two and adams escaped
00:24:33in a two count away they shot that arm through got that shoulder up in the nick of time but
00:24:39as you say professor rick gremlin is pressing on just don't hit him with a zambui
00:24:43on top with the bulldog one two three
00:24:55rick steiner the dog face gremlin is your winner thank you
00:25:05the celebration goes on
00:25:06many of the wrestlers were thrilled about what happened last night
00:25:14and obviously many of the front office staff
00:25:18that rick flair is still in charge and will be in charge for the remainder larry spitzko
00:25:23i tell you right there that was a nice shot and chris adams could have been in charge but
00:25:27bad luck he landed too close to the ropes and right there steiner suplexed him right out of his boots and
00:25:33as chris adams was coming up he never saw that the gremlin hit him from behind down he went yes
00:25:39we are all happy about last night celebrate i'm gonna go out tomorrow and golf at 64.
