00:00I'm talking about going down there and having some fun.
00:03Maybe, maybe with someone special.
00:05Welcome to WatchMojo, and today, we're counting down our picks
00:10for the most alluring ladies from the collective DC universe.
00:14You want to go a few rounds with me?
00:17I am talking about sparring.
00:21Number 20, Miss Martian.
00:22Martian Manhunter isn't the only green-skinned good guy in DC.
00:30The white Martian name, again, Morse, goes by numerous other monikers,
00:35from the Earth name of Megan Morse to her official DC moniker of Miss Martian.
00:40She's a somewhat obscure character who's nevertheless appeared in other media,
00:44specifically the Supergirl franchise.
00:46This is fitting, since Morse's origins basically stem from creator Jeff Johns
00:51being denied permission to use Supergirl in a story.
00:54Speaking of which, fit is a useful word when describing Miss Martian,
00:58both concerning her physical beauty as well as her keen fashion sense.
01:02There's just no other way to say it.
01:04We'd love to explore strange new worlds with this Martian.
01:08Together.
01:13Get out of my head!
01:16Number 19, Stargirl.
01:18Jeff Johns has created several popular DC characters over the years,
01:21but he brought up personal attention to detail
01:24when it came to Courtney Whitmore, aka Stargirl.
01:27Eat my sparkles, turtle!
01:29Johns designed this superhero in tribute to his sister,
01:32who died tragically young on board the doomed TWA Flight 800.
01:36This nobility and bravery translates to the character of Stargirl,
01:40a plucky and winsome young woman
01:41who takes on the mantle and responsibility
01:43of being a star man from fellow superhero Jack Knight.
01:47Stargirl's inner beauty shines through in her selflessness
01:50and desire to help others,
01:51and this certainly goes a long way
01:53when it comes to being naturally confident and attractive.
01:56For the record, I don't have powers, Potty Mouth.
01:59It's the staff.
02:00Number 18, Lois Lane.
02:02Who told you to wear a tie?
02:04They say that a classic never goes out of style,
02:06and this definitely applies to the legendary Lois Lane.
02:09This intrepid reporter may be an icon
02:12from the love, interest, and peril stereotype from back in the day,
02:16but this does little to damage Lois Lane's longevity.
02:18Her self-assuredness and determination to get a story
02:22leading into Lane's independence from Superman.
02:25Indeed, it's probably one of the things
02:27that attracted Clark Kent to Lois in the first place.
02:30Well, that and her killer legs.
02:33This list, by design,
02:35is going to be fairly focused upon characters
02:37being alluring and sexy,
02:39but it's also important not to lose sight
02:41of how characters like Lois Lane
02:43are interesting people first and Dream Girl second.
02:47I've ripped enough blazers running after stories
02:49that I'm always prepared.
02:50Number 17, Huntress.
02:52Many women have adopted the mantle of Huntress over the years,
02:55with the character's popularity enduring to the modern day.
03:03Where are we going?
03:04Don't ask so many questions.
03:06Helena Wayne is an alternate version of the character,
03:09a child of Catwoman and Batman
03:11that embodies some of the best physical attributes
03:13of both DC legends.
03:15A separate Huntress, Helena Bertinelli,
03:17doesn't hold the same Wayne parentage,
03:19but retains similar physical charms.
03:21It's essentially a sophist choice
03:23between these two Huntresses,
03:24since we love how both balance physical capability
03:27with outfits that enhance the character's formidable strength.
03:31What can we say?
03:32We like to be dominated.
03:33Which leaves the rest of our evening tantalizingly free.
03:36There are three terabytes of data here.
03:38I'll be busy for days.
03:42Oh, dinner and a movie?
03:46It's a start.
03:47Number 16, Hawkgirl.
03:49It's a long and established comic book trope
03:51to gender swap a popular superhero,
03:53in the hopes of gaining readership from the opposite sex.
03:56This thankfully doesn't damage Hawkgirl as a character, however,
04:11since nobody this tough is going to shy away
04:14into the backroom wallpaper.
04:15Hawkgirl is another character
04:17with a long and storied history.
04:19A warrior with genetically engineered wings
04:21that enable her to soar the skies.
04:23She's sometimes analogous to Hawkwoman,
04:26while the Kendra-Sondra's iteration
04:28leans into the character's Doctor Who-esque reputation
04:30for death and regeneration slash reincarnation.
04:34Hawkgirl is cool as hell in any timeline,
04:37and we love following her adventures.
04:39Where are you gonna go?
04:40I don't know.
04:43Someplace where the fate of the world isn't in my hands.
04:45Someplace where there are no more secrets, no more lies.
04:49Number 15, Mary Marvel.
04:50It seems as if the word Marvel will always surround characters
04:54from both of the big two comic book companies,
04:57but we're not complaining.
04:58But I had the power, or, you know,
05:00a third of the power, anyway, of...
05:01Well, I can't actually say it myself.
05:06Not when we have this compatriot of Shazam,
05:08Mary Marvel, on our side.
05:10This memory of Shazam's extended family
05:12dates back to the 40s-era Fawcett comics
05:15and features a design that's seen
05:16a little tinkering over the years.
05:18Mary Marvel is usually depicted
05:20with the same bright red color palette
05:22as her old-school canonical brother.
05:24Only Shazam's skin-tight suit
05:26is replaced by a short skirt.
05:28The yellow-gold boots tie together the ensemble,
05:31which is essentially a keenly retro depiction
05:33of feminine glamour,
05:34tied together by Mary Marvel's
05:36absolutely gorgeous smile.
05:38Are you okay, Batman?
05:40Number 14, Knockout.
05:41The 90s era of comics is,
05:43depending on who you ask,
05:45one of the best or worst decades for the medium.
05:47I haven't worn this since I escaped from Apocalypse.
05:50What do you think?
05:52Two, Wonder Woman?
05:53We tend to fall into the former camp
05:55thanks to characters like Knockout.
05:57This red-headed badass may sport a mask,
05:59but there's no denying the physical charms
06:02of this female fury.
06:03Knockout is usually a villain or anti-hero,
06:06the latter usually as a member of the Secret Six.
06:08She's also notable for being polyamorous
06:10with another member of the Six, Scandal,
06:12and, um, a stripper.
06:15We're not here to judge,
06:17but rather just to admire how Knockout kicks butt,
06:20takes names, and steals hearts.
06:27Number 13, Killer Frost.
06:29Cold as ice, but hot to the touch.
06:31That's how we prefer to fantasize about Killer Frost.
06:34It doesn't matter if we're talking about
06:36Louise Lincoln, Crystal Frost, or Caitlyn Snow.
06:39There's something alluring about the look-but-don't-touch nature
06:42of this dangerous villain.
06:51Killer Frost isn't above making the most of her feminine wows
06:54if it means that she's able to get the job done.
06:57That said, her powerful abilities as a manipulator of heat energy
07:01definitely earn our respect.
07:03We're fine just admiring from afar
07:05how Killer Frost's devilish smile,
07:06and we're going to go with hot body here
07:09just for the sake of puns.
07:10Get our temperatures racing.
07:12I'm listening.
07:14Number 12, Supergirl.
07:16Never underestimate the power of a miniskirt,
07:18or at least when it comes to
07:20Helen Slater's portrayal of Kara Zor-El,
07:22aka Supergirl, in 1984.
07:24If we're being honest, however,
07:26every artist's depiction of Supergirl looks great,
07:29because the character is great.
07:30It would have been very easy to simply present Kara
07:39as a reductive Superman clone,
07:41but her personality shines through in her own right.
07:44This allows the creative freedom behind Supergirl's attire,
07:47beskirted or not,
07:48to work hand-in-hand with the admirably heroic traits
07:51within her heart.
07:52Sure, Supergirl is sexy as hell,
07:54but she's also a formidable role model
07:56that earns our total respect.
07:58I was stopping bad guys.
08:00That's what we do, right?
08:02Stop them, not scramble them.
08:04Don't lecture me, Cal.
08:05I'm still older than you.
08:06Number 11, Barbara Gordon.
08:08Viewers of a certain age will probably remember
08:10how actress Yvonne Craig brought her generational beauty
08:13and dance training into the role of Barbara Gordon
08:16on the 60s Batman TV show.
08:18As long as you're holding class as Penguin,
08:20perhaps you'd include Batgirl, too.
08:22Craig's performance was never forgotten,
08:24and her grace worked hand-in-hand
08:26with Gordon's memorable history with DC Comics.
08:28It doesn't really matter
08:30whether she's working as Batgirl or Oracle.
08:32This daughter of Commissioner Gordon
08:34is determined to stand on her own,
08:36away from the shadows of her father and Batman.
08:39Intelligence, after all, is totally sexy,
08:41and Barbara Gordon can always be relied upon
08:44in a time of crisis.
08:51Number 10, Black Canary.
08:52The human mind can be a complex thing
08:54when it comes to attraction.
08:56Sometimes we can be disarmed by another's beauty
08:59or be swept off our feet
09:00in terms of idealized romantic love.
09:03My heart bleeds.
09:06Black Canary.
09:07Green Arrow.
09:08I've noticed you around.
09:10I know.
09:11Other times, though,
09:12our animal instincts creep in
09:14and we're consumed by lust.
09:16This, in a nutshell, describes Black Canary,
09:19a DC Comics character
09:20that always seems to exude sex,
09:23like some sort of pharaoh pheromone.
09:25The form-fitting outfit,
09:27complete with fishnet stockings,
09:29asserts how Black Canary
09:30is comfortable with her body,
09:31while her strengths as a superhero
09:33keep at arm's length
09:34any creeps that might get too close.
09:37This canary is also confident and cocky, however.
09:40We don't for a minute dream
09:42of line-stepping DC's resident bad girl.
09:509. Talia Al Ghul.
09:52This is a DC comic book character
09:54with legs
09:55in both the literal and figurative senses.
09:58Talia Al Ghul's physical charms
09:59are undeniable
10:00and she's often had a seductive relationship
10:03with Bruce Wayne and Batman.
10:05I know you loved her,
10:06but I cannot believe
10:07you did not save a picture of me as well.
10:10This villainess also remains
10:11an ever-present threat
10:12within the comics, however,
10:14proving that Talia was no flash in the pan.
10:17The fact that her strengths
10:18remain in the everyday real world
10:20also proves how formidable
10:21she is as a character.
10:22Talia Al Ghul possesses brains and beauty,
10:26never relying on gimmicks
10:27or superpowers
10:28to prove her worth in the DC universe.
10:30It made you romantic.
10:31It made me do what you wanted.
10:34Was it all bad, beloved?
10:368. Raven.
10:37There's something to be said
10:39about the enduring popularity
10:40of Raven as a DC Comics character.
10:42Her origins date
10:43all the way back to 1980,
10:45yet Raven's ability
10:46to adapt and progress
10:48with the times
10:49has led to a loyal fan base.
10:51I'm not creepy.
10:53I'm just different.
10:54And what's not to like?
10:56Her supernatural origins
10:57make her mysterious,
10:59while her fashion sense
11:00ties into cool goth
11:01subculture tropes successfully.
11:03Raven is,
11:04for lack of a better word,
11:05cool.
11:06She's also beautiful
11:07and in touch with her emotions.
11:09Literally.
11:10Because being an empath
11:11is a huge part of her powers.
11:13Meanwhile,
11:14Raven's uniquely quirky personality
11:16makes her utterly charming
11:17to anyone lucky enough
11:19to cross her path.
11:20A lock of hair
11:20from a beautiful girl.
11:23Beautiful?
11:247. Power Girl.
11:25Supergirl isn't the only
11:27Kara Zor-El
11:28out there in the DC universe.
11:29There's also Power Girl,
11:31an alternate universe iteration
11:32of the character
11:33with a couple of notable differences.
11:36Mr. President,
11:37can I talk to you?
11:38It's really important.
11:39Artist Wally Wood
11:40definitely utilizes his history
11:42working with more
11:43adult-oriented comics
11:44when it came to
11:45designing Power Girl.
11:46The size of her bus
11:47is frankly ridiculous.
11:49A grand example
11:50of old-school exploitation
11:51at its finest.
11:53Meanwhile,
11:53the peek-a-boo window
11:54of Power Girl's leotard
11:56actually draws attention
11:57to this fact,
11:58likely making it difficult
11:59for anyone with a pulse
12:00to maintain eye contact
12:02with a superhero.
12:03Does this detract
12:04or undermine Power Girl's
12:05effectiveness as a hero?
12:07We don't think so,
12:08although it remains
12:09a definite point of conversation.
12:11I'm close enough right here,
12:13and he's not really
12:13that much of a boy, you know?
12:15He's 13.
12:166. Starfire.
12:18There's a discussion
12:18to be had
12:19when it comes to
12:19the evolution of costumes
12:21and superhero gear
12:22over the years.
12:23The male gaze
12:23likely had a huge influence
12:25over the desire
12:26to depict Starfire
12:27in a space bikini
12:28back in her 1980s heyday.
12:30I did not see that coming.
12:38I am Coriander of Tamarin.
12:41Our kind can learn language
12:42from the act of kissing.
12:45Useful.
12:45That said,
12:46we don't think for a minute
12:47that the comparatively
12:48more modest
12:49and practical applications
12:51of Starfire's outfits
12:52diminish her appeal
12:53or beauty.
12:54Modern-day renderings
12:55of this interstellar hero
12:56instead allow
12:57Starfire's radiant appeal
12:59to shine through
13:00beyond revealing outfits
13:01or prurient pandering.
13:03Instead,
13:03her contemporary legacy
13:04balances this character
13:05in a way that makes
13:06Starfire feel timeless.
13:08So you've told me.
13:16Speaking of fun,
13:18the old room looks great.
13:20You know,
13:20Cory, you and I
13:21could just...
13:21Fun!
13:23What?
13:24That's it!
13:25That's what we need!
13:26What who needs?
13:28Oh, you're so smart.
13:29Thanks, Dick!
13:30Number 5.
13:30Zatanna
13:31It's an old-school era
13:32of vintage illusionists
13:34and magicians
13:34that helps bolster
13:35the enduring allure
13:37of one Zatanna Zatara.
13:38You were assuming
13:39they were real
13:40in the first place.
13:42How are you, Bruce?
13:44The updated mixture
13:45of mesh tights
13:46and leather boots
13:47combined with the
13:48classically cool
13:49top hat and tails
13:50make Zatanna
13:51impossible to resist.
13:52Meanwhile,
13:53the character's
13:54confidence as a performer,
13:55both on and off the stage,
13:57makes it easy for us
13:58to believe that
13:59Zatanna just seems
14:00to know what kind
14:01of outfits
14:02work the proper magic.
14:03Zatara doesn't need
14:04to pull a rabbit
14:05out of her hat
14:06for us to fall in love.
14:07She can work her spell
14:08on us any day
14:09of the week.
14:10You're not as furry,
14:11but you're just as cute.
14:12Number 4.
14:13Harley Quinn
14:14It's pretty wild
14:15to research the
14:16meteoric rise
14:17of Harley Quinn
14:18as one of DC's
14:18most popular characters.
14:20Say hello
14:20to your new,
14:21improved,
14:22Harley Quinn.
14:24This goes double
14:25for the fact
14:25that she was created
14:26for Batman the Animated Series
14:28as opposed to debuting
14:29within the pages
14:30of a comic book.
14:31Harley has captured
14:32the imaginations
14:33of millions
14:34since that debut,
14:35however,
14:35a total wild card
14:37that's impossible
14:37to resist
14:38and impossible to tame.
14:40This is juxtaposed
14:41against her eternal orbit
14:42with the Joker
14:43since she's usually
14:44either depicted
14:44as tethered to his side
14:46or free from his control.
14:47This push and pull
14:48narrative makes
14:49Harley Quinn compelling
14:50while her manic charm
14:52dares anyone
14:53and everyone
14:53to try their luck
14:54at love.
14:55Yay!
14:55For Ivy!
14:56Still yay!
14:57And then we never
14:58want to see you again,
14:59alright?
14:59Less yay,
15:00but more yay
15:01than I had this morning!
15:02Number 3.
15:03Poison Ivy
15:03Good kitty.
15:05How would you say
15:06it?
15:08Perfect.
15:09Say it for me, kitty.
15:11Say
15:12perfect.
15:14There have been
15:14a lot of femme fatales
15:16within the Batman universe.
15:17This sort of
15:18makes sense too
15:19since this archetype
15:20is a constant
15:21when it comes
15:22to the hard-boiled
15:23detective stories
15:24and femme noirs
15:24that make up
15:25the Caped Crusader's DNA.
15:27Poison Ivy
15:28stands among
15:28the very elite
15:29of this standard,
15:30a leggy seductress
15:31that can make anybody
15:33fall to their knees
15:34in worship.
15:34Granted,
15:35Ivy's ability
15:36to utilize pheromones
15:37to alter the mind
15:38helps in this regard,
15:40but one look at her
15:41is enough for us
15:42to know that
15:42we need little prodding.
15:44The red hair,
15:45the stunning figure,
15:46and that dazzling
15:47one-piece outfit
15:48pretty much
15:48leave us speechless
15:49every time.
15:51No, no, no.
15:51I mean,
15:51I like Takashi's
15:52hand rolls
15:53as much as the next gal,
15:54but don't you think
15:55it's time to kind of
15:55like wrap this party up?
15:57You know,
15:57it's been three weeks
15:58since you took down Joker.
15:59There's no Legion of Doom,
16:01no Batman.
16:01Gotham is yours
16:02for the taking.
16:03Number two,
16:04Wonder Woman.
16:05The design of
16:05DC Comics'
16:06resident and reigning queen
16:08has changed
16:09very little
16:09since her debut
16:10back in the 1940s.
16:11Dark hair
16:18and strong features
16:18are a constant
16:19of Wonder Woman,
16:20as is a red,
16:21white,
16:22and blue color scheme.
16:23It was actress
16:24Linda Carter's
16:24generational beauty
16:25that helped solidify
16:27the Wonder Woman look
16:28for the 1970s.
16:29This look became
16:30somewhat synonymous
16:31with the character,
16:32a statuesque vision
16:33of femininity
16:34combined with strength
16:35and grace under pressure.
16:37Wonder Woman feels
16:38almost unapproachable
16:39in this regard.
16:40An idealized beauty
16:42for the ages.
16:43Meanwhile,
16:44her boots,
16:45bracers,
16:45and lasso
16:46deviously tie into
16:47the character's
16:48BDSM origins
16:49with regards to
16:50her creator
16:50William Moulton Marston,
16:52his wife Elizabeth,
16:53and their polyamorous
16:54partner Olive Byrne.
16:55Of course,
16:56that's not the only
16:57important thing.
17:00Mm-hmm-hmm.
17:03Mm-hmm.

17:20Number one,
17:21Catwoman.
17:21Well,
17:22I'd like to think
17:22our relationship
17:23isn't just restricted
17:24to saving each other
17:25from freaks and weirdos,
17:27and that maybe
17:28we'd have a place
17:29for each other
17:29without Gotham,
17:31without the freaks,
17:32maybe without masks.
17:34It takes a lot
17:36of athletic skill
17:37to be a cat burglar,
17:38but only one DC Comics character
17:40does this job
17:41with the sex appeal
17:42of Selina Kyle.
17:43Maybe it's the skin-tight costume,
17:45leather or otherwise,
17:47or perhaps it's Kyle's
17:48moral ambiguity,
17:49but Catwoman
17:50is difficult to resist.
17:52Her conflicting alliances
17:53and vacillation
17:54between hero and villain
17:55make her character interesting,
17:57while her smarts and strength
17:58make her impossibly sexy.
18:01Catwoman has been drawn great
18:02over the years
18:03and portrayed great, too,
18:05particularly by Michelle Pfeiffer
18:06in Tim Burton's
18:07Batman Returns.
18:08This pic is just
18:10kind of a no-brainer.
18:11Meow.
18:12So,
18:13what now?
18:17Oh, I can think
18:18of a few things.
18:19Where do you think
18:20the line is between
18:20admiration and objectification?
