00:30Lovely piece of timing.
00:37Well, that's an excellent shot as well. Already, I think we're seeing the difference between these two left-handers.
00:43Saeed Anwar is a very risky player, but I think he's a little more talented than Sahail and he will take less risks.
00:51Even in the first over, Sahail was having to take risks in an attempt to hit boundaries.
00:57This man, they'll come pretty easily to him.
01:00And that's just encouragement for the batsman to try and go over square leg.
01:08Now, this is good, clever cricket by Saeed Anwar.
01:11Like we said, there is a man at deep point on the offside.
01:14He knows that the Indians don't have too much cover on the onside and here gets his foot outside the line of off stump and just helps the ball on its way over square leg.
01:25And that's where he really likes to hit, through the offside.
01:28Now, this is again a glorious piece of timing. It wasn't a bad ball, but really just the talent of the man. Superb hit on the up.
01:38By hitting that one boundary through the onside or over the onside, Saeed Anwar has got what he wants.
01:52He prefers to go that way, through the offside, because he's a very good player there and there's a lot less risk.
01:58He took, well, that's six.
02:02And the 50 partnership, that is a long way back.
02:05This really is a huge hit from Saeed Anwar.
02:10Really tucked himself into Kumble here.
02:14Opened his shoulders and hit it many a mile into the crowd.
02:18Really picked this one up beautifully.
02:21You can already see the change in tactics between Anwar and Sohail.
02:24Sohail was trying to sweep the competition.
02:26And it's just going to clear mid-on.
02:32And in fact, it's going to keep running and away to the boundary.
02:35Ravi, I don't envy your task. It's not going to be easy.
02:38It certainly isn't.
02:39And especially with the way these two openers are going, they've had a good tournament.
02:42And here, Saeed Anwar looking to actually hit it over mid-wicket,
02:46but getting enough bat on it to hit it straight and carry all the way into the fence.
02:50Yes, sir.
03:04Well hit.
03:06That's six again.
03:10Again, what a magnificent piece of timing by Saeed Anwar.
03:13This really is unbelievable batting.
03:15And he's just got inside the line of that ball and literally flicked Sreenath into the stands.
03:24I saw him get his sentry against Sri Lanka at the Adelaide Oval a few seasons ago,
03:29and he flicked one up onto the stands in that match,
03:32up onto the roof of the stands at the Adelaide Oval.
03:34And it was just a similar thing to that, just a flick of the wrist.
03:37And you thought, oh, yeah, that's not a bad shot.
03:39And suddenly heard this clunk when it landed on the roof.
03:45Oh, that's a pretty good shot as well.
03:47He just really pushed out of that with his hands, and the timing was immaculate.
03:52Four's in the six so far.
03:56Well, that's in the air, and it's going to be caught.
03:58Yes, it's going to be out.
03:59Got him.
04:00That's the first record, and that's the first cheer we've heard for a while.
04:04The Indians have come alive.
04:07They've been miserable for ten overs.
04:08And all of a sudden, the hands are slapping, and there's a roar and a bounce back in the stadium.
04:17Well, Srinath did something different this time.
04:20He went around the wicket, and he just tucked up the batsman.
04:23See, the arms are cramped over here.
04:25He hasn't got a free swing of the arm, which he was getting earlier on.
04:28The cramping has resulted in him not timing the ball well.
04:32And that's the first wicket of Pakistan gone.
04:35Saeed Anwar, the dangerous batsman, gone for 48, Pakistan 84 for 1.
