00:13to break down this year's new gameplay features in 2K26.

00:16Today, we'll discuss the new ProPlay motion engine, enhanced rhythm shooting, and other advanced controls.

00:22Now let's get to it.

00:24This year, ProPlay technology is evolving, bringing more authenticity than ever before

00:28through advancements in rhythm shooting, new customization options on offense,

00:33an all-new dynamic motion engine, and much more.

00:39In 2K26, ProPlay powers the all-new dynamic motion engine,

00:43using machine learning technology to make your actions feel more lifelike and realistic.

00:48Dynamic lower body pose matching adjusts the exact positioning of players' legs and feet on the fly

00:54to remove the skating seen in past games,

00:56and ensure that players launch, plant, and cut realistically.

01:00This is the biggest change to player movement since NBA 2K21,

01:04offering a fresh and authentic feeling every time you step on the court.

01:07And that's the same year I made it to the league.

01:09It's wild to see how gameplay has evolved the last couple of years.

01:16Players who take advantage of the rhythm shooting mechanic

01:18will notice more responsive and authentic jump shots

01:21that simulate a true shooting motion.

01:23We really wanted to emphasize creating a skill-based environment in 2K26

01:27that blends authenticity with competition for a more rewarding experience.

01:32This renewed focus will be felt across multiple gameplay features,

01:35from shot outcomes to successful blocks and steals,

01:38and loose balls and rebounds.

01:39As a shooter, that sounds awesome.

01:42But what about potential changes to moves in the post?

01:44Big men in NBA 2K26 will now be able to leverage all new signature go-to post shots

01:53by holding up on the shot stick while in the post.

01:56Players can lean into a host of new moves,

01:58including shimmy floaters, baby hooks, and up-and-unders.

02:01Playing with your back to the basket is a lost art,

02:03but those who are able to master it can take advantage in the paint.

02:06In previous versions of NBA 2K,

02:12layups were limited by a single signature layup package.

02:14But this year, players can draw inspiration from around the league

02:17to mix and match standard layups, floaters, quick scoops,

02:22euro steps, hop steps, and spins,

02:25and determine exactly how they want to finish around the rim.

02:282K26 uses system-driven technology

02:34to generate player-to-player collisions

02:36that are more reliable

02:37compared to previously scripted motion-captured animations.

02:41Coupled with new dynamic motion,

02:42this change improves the freedom of authentic movement

02:45for both the dribbler and on-ball defender.

02:47Interior defense has also been redesigned

02:49so that it's easier to put a body on shooters

02:51when they're finishing around the rim

02:52and make body-to-body contact in the air.

02:55And bigs will feel increased physicality

02:57when roaming in the paint.

03:03we've added some new offensive controls

03:05to give players a more intuitive,

03:07deliberate, and free-flowing experience.

03:09Ball handlers can now shield themselves from steals

03:11by reacting with the quick-protect mechanic.

03:14The introduction of quick-protect

03:15will bring more balance

03:16and lead to more skill-based outcomes.

03:18You can even use it to put defenders in jail,

03:20just like Luka and other strong guards love to do.

03:23For spot-up shooters,

03:24you can use the new quick-shot feature

03:26by holding the left trigger on catch-and-shoot shots.

03:29This will skip the dip

03:30and allow you to get your shots off super quick,

03:32like Clay Thompson.

03:33Slashers now have access

03:35to slow-motion neuro-step gathers,

03:37something we've been seeing a lot of in the league lately

03:39from players like yourself and Ant.

03:40This will help you navigate through the paint

03:42and around defenders by decelerating

03:44to throw defenders off

03:45and create space with a slow-mo finish.

03:47And finally, another highly requested feature

03:49is the ability to force rat passes,

03:51which will allow you to feed the corner three

03:53or thread the needle to a cutting teammate

03:55and avoid defenders playing the passing lanes.
