01:02Today, I'm showing you 11 magic tricks that you can do right now.

01:10This is my magic silk scarf.
01:13You can see on both sides, there's nothing inside it except for the scarf itself.
01:18I also have a wine glass here with nothing inside except for a standard deck of playing cards.
01:23You can see the ace of spades right there.
01:26Now watch, all we have to do is drape the scarf over the glass and it instantly changes into a different card.
01:33Now believe it or not, this is actually one of the easiest and most visual card tricks that you can do.
01:38It's so simple.
01:39All you have to do is twist the glass in your fingers like this when you cover it with the scarf.
01:44So very simple.
01:45You're going to take a wine glass that will fit a deck of cards and you're just going to make sure you have one card facing the opposite way here.
01:52So on this side, it's one card and on this side, it's a different card.
01:55Then hold the glass right here at the base with your two fingers.
01:58And as you drape it over, you're going to twist the glass just like this and face it the other direction.
02:04You just want to practice this movement until you get it smooth.
02:07Where it looks like you're just draping this over and it instantly changes.
02:10Okay, so all of you all can participate in this.
02:13So you're going to take your fingers and put them on either side of your nose like this.

02:47So most people, here's the mistake they make.
02:49They take their fingers and they put them like this with the nails on the opposite sides of the nose like this.
02:55So when you go to uncross them, it's all, you can't do it.
02:58The secret is start like this with your fingers here and then cross.
03:05So this is the position that you start in.
03:08And then all you have to do is uncross it.

03:50This is a fake plastic thumb tip.
03:52It's a classic magic prop that every magician should have.

04:19Now the key to the thumb tip is to keep it pointed towards your audience like this.
04:23If you keep it at this angle, it is almost completely undetectable.
04:27But if they see it like this, you're going to expose it.
04:30So don't let them see it from this angle.
04:31Now all that's left to do is to slip the thumb tip off of your thumb secretly and pull
04:36out the silk scarf, much to the amazement of your audience.

05:13I'm going to take one thumbtack out of this little case here.

05:17And put it on the counter.
05:18Now if I take the balloon and put it on the thumbtack like this, what do you think will
05:21happen?
05:21It's going to pop.
05:22Yeah?
05:23Yeah.

05:24Look at that.

05:25Three, two, one.
05:27Ah!
05:28It pops.
05:30It works.

05:31That's the trick.

06:07That's crazy.

06:10See, I can press down on the bullpins.
06:11I don't understand how this happens.
06:13It's magic.
06:14Oh my gosh.
06:16I'll show you guys how it's done right now.
06:17The explanation to this is actually kind of scientific.
06:20The reason that the tack actually pops the balloon in the first place is the single point
06:24of the tack breaks the surface tension of the latex here on the side.
06:28But when you spread it out to a bunch of little points like this, it almost becomes
06:32like a flat surface, so the tension is spread out across the many different points, which
06:37doesn't break the surface tension of the latex of the balloon, therefore it doesn't
06:42pop.
06:42Science is magic.
06:44Check this out.
06:45I have a cup of coffee here, my morning Joe.
06:48Watch.
06:48I'm going to take the coffee and just sit it on my hand like this.
06:51You can see it.
06:52Watch.
06:52I'm going to cover it just like this and say some magic words.
06:56What's the best magic incantation you know?
06:58I think abracadabra is probably the best one that I know, so abracadabra watch.
07:09Just like that, the coffee magically disappears.
07:14All right, here's how it's done.
07:16I'm about to reveal the secret.
07:19The secret to this trick is extremely simple, and I will teach you how it's done right now.
07:23Your first step is to take a cup and stuff the bottom with some paper towels or a sponge.
07:29You're then going to need a piece of cardboard or plastic film to go right on top of that
07:34and hide the paper towel underneath.
07:36You want this to kind of wedge in the cup.
07:38So once you've got this in place, we're going to pour coffee on top.
07:42You want just enough to cover it like that, so it now looks like a full cup of coffee.
07:47Now all we're going to do to make the coffee disappear, we're going to cover it with our
07:51hand like this, and what they don't see is your thumb coming in like this.
07:54You're going to press on the side, and look what happens.
07:57All of that coffee will drain down into the bottom.
08:01Look, you can see it all draining out.
08:02It's all going to absorb into the paper towel underneath, right?
08:07Now that it's absorbed and you have it covered with your hand, you can then flip it upside
08:10down, and it looks like the liquid has just instantly vanished from the cup.
08:16You can then crumple it up and throw it away if you want.
08:18It's a super easy and amazing magic trick that you can do at home with stuff around the
08:22house.
08:22Okay, I have two rubber bands stretched between my hands right here, and a $20 go.
08:27Will you grab the bill right there, Carissa?
08:29Now watch.
08:29One, two, three.
08:31And it actually jumps to the next one, just like that.
08:34Watch it goes again to the third, and then look.
08:38One more time, just like that.
08:40All the way through.
08:42Here is the secret of the bill through the bands trick.
08:47This is so insanely visual.
08:49It can happen in the spectator's hands.
08:51You need two rubber bands that are exactly the same color and size.
08:56The bill is going to start out on the bottom rubber band that's going to be stretched between
09:00your two ring fingers.
09:02The other rubber band is going to go between your two forefingers, just like this.
09:06You want to get into this position before you ever show the trick to the audience.
09:10So you have it like this.
09:11You're then going to take your thumbs and contact the top of these three bands and push them
09:16down, just like this.
09:18You're then going to take your two forefingers and bring them underneath that bottom band
09:22and lift it to the top and let those other three bands fall right underneath it.
09:28And now it looks like that bottom band is the top band.
09:31Now all we're going to do to make it jump through is release our forefingers first,
09:36and that's going to do the first pop through.
09:38Now the second one, we're just going to release our two middle fingers and look.
09:42See how that band is crossed?
09:43It's actually just going to flip.
09:45And now the last one, we're doing the same thing.
09:48We're just letting go with our two ring fingers.
09:51And this goes all the way through to the bottom band, just like that.
09:56The audience can even hold on to the bottom of the bill as this happens.
09:59And then you can instantly hand everything out for examination.
10:03So amazing and so easy to do.
10:05I have a magic loop of rope here.
10:08Check this out, Megan.
10:09It's a normal piece of rope.
10:10There's nothing tricky about it or anything like that.
10:13Okay.
10:13Verify for the audience there's nothing tricky.
10:15Okay.
10:16It's real.
10:16Do me a favor and extend your arm just like that.
10:18Perfect.
10:18Okay, so now look.
10:19If I take the loop of rope and I pull on your arm like that,
10:22there's no way this could go through your arm, right?
10:25Solid piece of rope.
10:26But watch.
10:26If I hold it like this.
10:28Boom.
10:30Oh my gosh.
10:32Your arm just like that.
10:34Wow.
10:35There's no way.
10:37This is all about how you hold the rope.
10:39You're going to bring it down on the person's arm like this.
10:41And what happens at the bottom is you're actually going to catch this side of the loop with your
10:45fingers and let go with your thumb on the other side.
10:48So we're going to come down like this.
10:50You're going to let go with this thumb as you pinch the other side and extend that out.
10:54Two rubber bands linked together.
10:56You can see the yellow and the blue rubber band are linked together.
10:59So there's no way they're coming apart, right?
11:02But watch the yellow band.
11:03One, two, three.
11:05And they come apart just like that.
11:08So here is the setup for the rubber band through rubber band magic trick.
11:13You're going to take two rubber bands of equal size and you want one stretch between your forefinger
11:17and thumb and the other one looped around it just like this.
11:20You get into that position by just taking one rubber band and lacing it through the other
11:25one and then spreading it between your fingers just like this.
11:27You're going to let this rubber band drape over your thumb as you pull the middle just like this
11:34to slip it out.
11:36So you're here.
11:37You let that loop over the thumb.
11:38You're grabbing the middle and then pulling it out just like that.
11:42I have the cap to a bottle right here.
11:44You can see an empty glass bottle, right, Megan?
11:47Watch.
11:48One, two.
11:53When this happens, it's going to be crazy, okay?
11:55You paying attention?
11:56Yeah, I'm ready.
11:56Okay, just watch.
11:57What are you going to do?
11:58It's crazy, it's crazy.
11:58Watch.
11:59One, two.
12:05This is really going to be crazy.
12:06Are you going to do it?
12:07I'm going to do it, I'm going to do it.
12:08Watch.
12:08You're making me nervous.

12:12All right, here we go.
12:13One, two, and on three, it goes right through the bottle.
12:18Just like that.

12:22The craziest thing is you would think it goes like through the top of the bottle somehow,
12:26like there's something I've got to do there, but it's a little.
12:28What?
12:29It's actually trapped inside there.
12:31Oh my gosh.
12:37Here's what you're going to need to set this up.
12:39You're going to need a glass Coke bottle, two bottle caps, identical bottle caps, and you're
12:44also going to need a magnetic ring.
12:47The last thing you'll need is a stick.
12:48Here's the setup.
12:49You're going to do this before you ever show it to your audience.
12:51You're going to take one of the caps and bend it just like that so that it can fit down
12:56inside the mouth of the bottle.
12:57You're going to push it down inside just like that.
13:00You're going to take the dowel rod and insert it through the mouth of the bottle right down
13:04through the neck.
13:05You want to position the bottle cap just like this on the base of the bottle and then press
13:08right in the middle of the cap and it's going to flatten it back out.
13:12And now that it's flattened back out, the cap is now lodged inside the bottle.
13:16Just like a ship in a bottle that is forever trapped inside.
13:19Let it slide up and it's going to stick in place right there on the ring.
13:23Now, because both the caps are metal and magnetic, when you toss the cap up, it will be caught
13:27by the ring.
13:28So you're going to show off the empty bottle and the cap to your audience like this, being
13:32careful not to flash the one hidden here.
13:33Then as you bring your hand down, you're going to toss the cap in your hand up so that it
13:38hits the magnet ring and sticks.
13:40That's going to be concealed in your hand as well.
13:42So at full speed, you're catching this cap in your hand and letting this one go at the
13:46exact same time.
13:47And it really creates the illusion that that cap is just penetrated right through the
13:51bottle.
13:51Make sure you call attention to the fact that the cap is now trapped inside the bottle as
13:55you casually drop this hand to the side and ditch this one into your pocket.
13:59Now that all the audience's attention is right here on this bottle, you can hand it out for
14:03examination and let them keep it as a souvenir of your performance.
14:06Okay, I have some matches here.
14:08Just going to light one.
14:10Now watch if I hold it like this.
14:12Ow, ow, ow.
14:14I got a little blister on my thumb there.
14:17Oh, wow.
14:18Geez, I'm bad.
14:19See it?
14:21Watch.
14:22I can actually heal the blister if I just take my fingers and rub like this.
14:27I hope not.
14:30Look, you just rub with each finger.
14:41That actually heals the wound.
14:43No way.
14:45What?
14:51See that?
14:54Go on.
14:54Go on?
14:55Easy.
14:56Oh, what?
14:58Here is the secret to the magic blister trick.
15:04This is a metal washer.
15:06You can also use a key that has a round hole.
15:09It is not actually a blister on your finger.
15:11You're going to put this in your pocket or do this before the performance and you're simply
15:15going to press your finger onto the washer just like this.
15:19So as you press that, it leaves an imprint on your skin and it creates a really convincing
15:24illusion of a blister on your finger.
15:27Now all you have to do to make this disappear is simply apply pressure and rub.
15:31And now as you can see with just a little bit of rubbing, it starts to normalize and
15:36that blister just completely vanishes.
15:39So grab yourself a metal washer or a key and try out this magic trick at home.

15:44We take the bill just like this, sit it on my hand.
15:47Now watch with just a wave of my other hand.
15:50Look, it instantly folds into a tiny little collared shirt.
15:57Isn't that crazy?
15:58Here are the steps to making this at home.
16:00It is a simple fold of a bill.
16:02So you're going to take any dollar bill.
16:04It doesn't matter what denomination.
16:05You're going to make these following folds.
16:35You're going to make these things.
17:05And now that you've made your final fold, your magic origami shirt is done, complete with a
17:16little collar and sleeve.
17:17You're going to sit it on the palm of your hand just like this.
17:20And then you're going to take a bill that you have previously gaffed with a little bit of
17:24aluminum foil.
17:25You can see it right there on the back of the bill.
17:27We want that to sit right on top and be hidden so that when we fold it over, it looks like the
17:32bill is just sitting on our hand.
17:33Now the next step, you're going to stick a magnet on your palm just like this.
17:38And that is going to contact the metal on the bill and make it stick to your hand just like
17:45this.
17:45So again, once you have the magnet stuck in place here, all you have to do is wave your
17:48hand over the bill and it will stick to that magnet like that and be hidden under your hand.
17:52And then all their attention will be right here on the little collared shirt.
17:56And this makes an awesome souvenir you can give to people to take home.
