00:02These are some of the young progressives in the party on who should lead Democrats.

00:10I really like AOC. Unfortunately, I would like to see her stand like and be more voteful about

00:14Palestine. But other than that, I really think that she should be the leader of the Democratic

00:18Party as she is a Democratic Socialist. Being also a young person, a young voter,

00:23a college student, seeing people like Dharmam Dhani, AOC just gaining so much more footing

00:27and so much more recognition in the policy field is very empowering.

00:31I think candidates like Zoran Mamdani and AOC are really inspiring to see.

00:35You know, someone like Mamdani, a Muslim like me and Zanab here, it's so inspiring to see.

00:40And so I think that someone like that in 2028 can carry a lot of momentum. I think people are so

00:45excited. So it goes back, Lawrence, to our point earlier about nothing's changed, no lessons learned.

00:50It's resist, resist Donald Trump and move as far left as possible in the Democrat Party.

00:57AOC and others seem to be still getting the attention.

01:00Yeah. And that's where all of the energy is for them. Look, losing stinks. It's the worst. And when

01:05you lose, everybody's a loser. You know, you look backwards and you see Kamala Harris and Joe Biden,

01:12and they're both losers. And you start seeing them start like carping back and forth. And then you

01:18look forward and you have AOC and Mamdani and others who are part of the truly radical, crazy left-wing

01:26fringe of the party that, you know, say what you want to about somebody like Nancy Pelosi. She was

01:32very effective at keeping the fringe part of her candidate, of her party under wraps. As she kind

01:40of rides off the sunset, Chuck Schumer has left. He doesn't know what to do. He has no ability

01:44to keep this fringe under wraps. And that's where all the energy is. That's where all the excitement

01:49is. The problem is when you get outside of the party, there isn't a broad, widespread general

01:56election support for this crazy nonsense. Full-blown communism here in New York City.

02:02Well, you're right, Charlie. I think what this new generation of socialist Marxists, what they do

02:08very well is they diagnose the problem very well. When they talk about affordability and they say,

02:13you know, you should, the quality of health care, even what's happening, guys, they say

02:17the children should not be dying. Of course, they don't say Hamas is responsible for a lot of the

02:22deaths there. Many of their solutions are so jacked up, but they do a great job in telling the

02:28American people, I understand your pain. Kind of, in effect, like Donald Trump, addressing

02:33the working class, people that feel forgotten in America. His solution is different. Bill Maher

02:39has a warning for the Democrats. Okay, yeah, these young people are crafty. They are inspirational.

02:45But if you run these people, the GOP will win the next election. Watch.

02:51Do you think that he would have the power and influence to be able to, like, usher in socialism?

02:57He definitely has the power and influence to elect J.D. Vance or whoever is the Republican

03:03candidate next time. It is a walking commercial for the Republican Party nationally.

03:08I think the Republicans are going to...

03:09When you let the Democrats, socialists, and now they're actually calling themselves socialists,

03:14when you let them take over a major American city, this is what you get.

03:19You know, if you're engaging with a psycho who all they care about is controlling you,

03:27they're very good at diagnosing problems. They're very good at figuring out what your weak points are.

03:34And that's, I would argue, what a lot of these people are doing.

03:37That's right.

03:37They recognize that if you can focus on these problems, then you can, you know,

03:42you can use that dissatisfaction to gain power for yourself.

03:46When I see his face, I think immediately of his pitch for government runs, you know, grocery stores.

03:51That'll work out.

03:51And I don't think there's any reasonable American who hears that and thinks that that's something

03:55that will work for them and their family.

03:58But he's winning. And all of the polls right now, if you take Sliwa out of the polling,

04:03he still wins. If you take Adams out of the polling, he still wins.

04:06If you take Cuomo out of the polling, he still wins in New York City.

04:10This is supposed to be the financial capital of the world, and people are willing to elect a socialist.

04:17And, you know, I don't want him to win. I hope people wake up.

04:21But I think this will be the next mayor of New York.

04:24And the question is, what are we going to do about it?

04:27It'll be terrible for New York City, but Republicans will be able to run on this

04:31issue for as long as that guy's around.

04:34And it's going to be a huge boon for Republicans and conservatives around the country,

04:39and New York City's going to pay their pay.

04:41I will say this finally, when it comes to Bill Maher, it is so refreshing to see.

04:45Once you remove the TDS, the Trump derangement, how you're able to look at the landscape and think

04:52logically. Bill Maher is still liberal. He's still a Democrat at heart.

04:56But he looks at the deck much differently now that he's met the president.

05:00He sees what's happening in the country.

05:02The liberals can recover. They can find some type of candidate.

05:05But they've got to stop focusing on Donald Trump.

05:07You can't look at every single issue and look at the president.

05:10You've got to have your own policy prescriptions.

05:13And so now he's telling, he's warning them, guys, if you do this, you may get a temporary

05:17sugar high because this is this crazy leftist, but you can't run a candidate like that nationally.

05:25People don't like you taking their money.

05:27Yeah.

05:27This is still America.

05:28If Bill Maher can see it, it must be obvious.

05:30Yep.
