00:00My legs work, my spine is not hurt, my neck is not hurt, and I don't have a concussion.
00:05So those are my prerequisites for not complaining.
00:08Welcome to Ms. Mojo.
00:10And today, we're looking at the biggest bombshells that WWE Unreal dropped on fans,
00:15whether they loved it or not.
00:17The fans, you guys are seeing just two wrestlers wrestling, you know.
00:20But in my ear, I'm listening to at least, in a match, like five different things.
00:24Number 10.
00:27I Show Speed's legitimate Royal Rumble injury.
00:43I Show Speed's surprise entry during the 2025 Royal Rumble broke the internet.
00:48But while it seemed spontaneous, Triple H had the entire moment planned to the most minute detail.
00:54During this match, right before Kozawa goes out, who's fairly early, we're going to bring Speed in here.
01:00You'll be right here, like, talking to Speed.
01:03Camera guy's here.
01:03It worked like a charm, as Speed's involvement, and quick elimination, racked up millions of views online.
01:11Still, Speed didn't walk away unscathed.
01:13I Show Speed in half.
01:16Let me know if he's okay.
01:17Backstage footage showed the social media personality nursing a deep gash on his leg, leaving him visibly shocked and in pain.
01:25Are you actually good?
01:29Ooh!
01:34Look at it, look at it.
01:35You okay? Walk it off.
01:37Although neither Speed nor WWE publicly highlighted this injury, Unreal showed just how bad the damage was.
01:44It goes to show that no matter how meticulously rehearsed a spot might be, no one is ever truly safe in a high-risk contact sport like pro wrestling.
01:53Number 9.
01:54Kayfabe ends beyond the mat.
01:56That one right there, that's the reason why I got eliminated.
01:58Unreal not only gives us a peek behind the curtain, it rips it down completely.
02:09Showing wrestlers hanging out before and after going to war in the ring strips away the investment fans have in their storylines.
02:16While heartwarming in their own way, these moments undermine the foundation of pro wrestling's long-enduring legacy.
02:22It might leave a mark, because I've got to make sure it makes some noise.
02:28Yeah.
02:29Ooh, you should get a tattoo of it if it makes a mark.
02:32Bro, I would put the tank on it if it makes a mark.
02:35Scenes like Bianca Belair and Rhea Ripley praising each other's gear before the WrestleMania match,
02:40or Kevin Owens apologizing to Cody Rhodes for a mishandled spot at the Royal Rumble,
02:45are the kind of things that wrestling purists would rather never have seen.
02:49I'm so sorry about the bomb, because I wanted the ladder to be, so that you could go straight, because I can't see where I put you.
02:57Sure, we all know the pro wrestling world is for show, but maintaining kayfabe is like preserving the trust between performers and the viewing audience.
03:05Number 8.
03:06WrestleMania 41 almost looked completely different.
03:09Along the way, you're building up these storylines.
03:13Obviously, the biggest storylines revolve around our biggest stars.
03:17Any wrestling fan worth their salt knows one universal truth.
03:21Plans always change.
03:23We can write and choreograph whatever we want back here.
03:28You have to be ready for the element you can't control, and that's the audience.
03:32Nothing proves this more than the original WrestleMania 41 card, which looked almost nothing like the one we got.
03:38During a segment of The Writer's Room, a whiteboard features a rough rundown of the initial lineup.
03:44The night one main event involved Rollins and Reigns, leaving CM Punk to face Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship.
03:50Becky Lynch was paired with Charlotte Flair against Asuka and EO Sky, while Bianca Belair and Rhea Ripley were booked in a championship match.
04:00But the biggest bombshell was Stone Cold Steve Austin's role as the special guest referee for a bout between Braun Breaker and Drew McIntyre.
04:10There's always logical roads to go down to get the story where you want it to go.
04:15And sometimes the logical road becomes predictable.
04:20If it becomes predictable, you need to pivot.
04:23Number 7.
04:24Original plans for the Women's Royal Rumble had an unprecedented twist.
04:28I need a little bit of time on the women's side.
04:32Bianca winning, if she did, she'd be the first female to win, too.
04:36I mean, you could tell a story with Charlotte's return, trying to rebuild herself.
04:42Charlotte Flair's Royal Rumble win garnered a mixed response at best.
04:45Charlotte Flair is going to WrestleMania!
04:50Here is your 2025 Women's Royal Rumble winner!
04:59But had things unfolded as envisioned, the Rumble would have been totally unforgettable.
05:05Originally, Bianca Belair was set to become the first two-time Rumble winner.
05:09However, when that was scrapped, WWE briefly considered one of the wildest twists we would have ever seen.
05:16After a prolonged battle, Entrance 28 and 29 would eliminate each other, leaving the final participant as the de facto winner.
05:24You get Entrance 29 in there, and come in, there's only two women.
05:30They end up doing a double elimination.
05:32So whoever's number 30 automatically wins.
05:37Chelsea Green.
05:40Walks down.
05:41The intended victor, Chelsea Green, would have punched her ticket to WrestleMania without even entering the match.
05:48Had WWE committed to such an outrageously unprecedented idea, fan response could have ranged from absolute awe to a total meltdown.
05:57Then again, there's always next year.
05:59Obviously, as a female in wrestling, I have thought about what it would look like to be in a WrestleMania or win a championship.
06:07Number 6.
06:08Gorilla Position.
06:10Gorilla Monsoon.
06:11Very famous wrestler.
06:12He was timing things and controlling things from the area right before Talon would walk out to go to the ring.
06:21That became known as Gorilla Position.
06:25While you might think the ring is the center of the WWE universe, it's actually the staging area just behind the entrance ramp, known as the Gorilla Position.
06:34Nearly every single moment is carefully curated here.
06:37There's one table where Triple H and Bruce Pritchard are sitting.
06:42There's another table where Billy Kidman, who is our producer responsible for timing out the show and keeping tabs on times.
06:48Next to him will sit the respective match producer.
06:51From promos to matches to relaying instructions to talent via referees, producers control all aspects of the product from behind their screens.
07:00Things can get pretty stressful, a scene when Christopher Joseph Park, better known as Abyss, felt the heat when a match he produced ran into overtime.
07:18It was overwritten, it was overproduced, it was over everything else. It's fine. It was a great show.
07:23Yes, sir. Thanks, Bruce.
07:28Don't beat yourself up.
07:30I'm not, I'm not, I'm not. I want to make this man happy, that's all.
07:33But despite all the pressure, it's the place that unites everyone involved.
07:37Talent is greeted with praise and feedback each time they step back through the curtain.
07:41All things considered, Gorilla Position is the beating heart of WWE's entire operation.
07:48Number 5. CM Punk's issues with Triple H
07:51Initially, Hunter and I clashed because I was a main talent roster full-time the same time he was a main talent roster full-time.
08:03So there's that competition.
08:05For over a decade, fans speculated about why CM Punk had walked out of the WWE.
08:11While tensions between Punk and Triple H were no secret, Unreal confirms it as the core reason for his exit.
08:16According to Punk, he couldn't accept Triple H as an authority figure, having started his main roster run as his peer.
08:24The shift in power made it difficult for Punk to navigate their new dynamic.
08:28Punk didn't trust me, and I didn't trust Punk.
08:32I had been on the road 365 days a year for 10 years straight.
08:36After a while, the wheels fell off.
08:42Even more surprisingly, Triple H revealed that he and Punk had discussed a potential return long before it ultimately happened.
08:49At the time, neither was willing to move past their differences.
08:53However, both had evolved by the time Punk was dismissed from AEW, letting bygones be bygones and doing what's best for business.
09:00The last time that we met and talked with him, I felt like he honestly was different.
09:07Number 4.
09:09Jey Uso's last-minute road to WrestleMania.
09:11I won't put a rocket on your ass.
09:13That's what I have planned between now and Mania.
09:17I won't put a rocket on your ass.
09:18But I need to know that rocket doesn't crash land.
09:21Does that make sense?
09:22Yeah, you can put it on.
09:23CM Punk was originally booked to face Gunther at WrestleMania 41, making him the frontrunner to win the Royal Rumble.
09:29At the same time, WWE also considered putting John Cena over in his last Rumble.
09:36However, Jey Uso's popularity became too big to ignore, leading creative to pivot in his direction.
09:41When somebody catches fire, they just catch fire.
09:45And sometimes you have to alternate all your plans.
09:49Uso's path to WrestleMania was far from guaranteed, however.
09:52With a few unfortunate botches and underwhelming performances, Jey needed to deliver at a high level or face another shift in plans.
10:01Make no mistake about it, it was off track for a couple weeks, and everybody was worried.
10:08Maybe Jey is struggling because we've said, hey, we're gonna make you the guy.
10:13Fortunately, he repaid their faith when it mattered the most, keeping the heat on his storyline with Gunther
10:18and yeeting his way out of WrestleMania as the new world heavyweight champion.
10:23Number 3. Tiffany and Charlotte's shoot promo.
10:26And you love to put on this facade like nothing gets to you, like you're above everybody else,
10:31but then you're crying on some boo-hoo talk show?
10:34Which one is it, Charlotte?
10:35The line between kayfabe and reality can blur really fast.
10:40On the road to WrestleMania 41, Tiffany Stratton and Charlotte Flair show just how messy it can get.
10:46With Tiffany Stratton, I'm definitely the bad guy.
10:51I was in front of a crowd in Chicago, and they were booing so loud, it like rattled me.
11:01What would you like me to say?
11:05Rather than sticking to their planned promo, both women ended up taking shots at the other.
11:10But it was Tiffany who landed the hardest blow,
11:13delivering a scathing remark about Charlotte's personal life to shut her down.
11:18When I beat you at WrestleMania, Charlotte,
11:22you're gonna be just like you are outside of the ring.
11:27Alone.
11:30What is that record? Like what?
11:32Zero and three?
11:33While this provided the tension this feud sorely needed, it wasn't without consequence.
11:39As revealed in Unreal, Triple H wasn't happy with Tiffany going into business for herself,
11:44making her apologize to Charlotte for crossing the line.
11:47Was all of that on script?
11:49No.
11:51What part was it?
11:53The part.
11:54Whether justified or not, it's clear that in WWE,
11:57trust between performers is valued above all else.
12:00Cody Rhodes was supposed to sell his soul to The Rock.
12:05I need your soul.
12:09If the answer is yes,
12:12then the American nightmare will live forever.
12:19The final boss's request for Cody's soul was ultimately denied at Elimination Chamber,
12:24leading to John Cena's shocking heel turn.
12:27However, The Rock's team had also pitched multiple alternative storylines.
12:30One saw the reveal of Kevin Owens as Rock's secret accomplice,
12:34culminating in an impromptu match where Owens was crowned the new WWE champion.
12:39Another took a darker turn,
12:41Rhodes selling his soul to The Rock and shunning the WWE universe.
12:44What if Cody accepts the offer and drops John Cena and sells out to The Rock?
12:49I want it all, Rock.
12:51Had this route been taken,
12:53WrestleMania 41 would have seen a heel Cody Rhodes against a baby-faced John Cena.
12:57I think for a while,
13:00we were okay with baby-faced Cena versus baby-faced Cody.
13:05But it's always important to us to over-deliver for our fans.
13:09We felt we needed Elimination Chamber to perform.
13:13The idea of Rhodes going full Homelander has captivated fans for years.
13:17So the fact that we were this close to seeing it happen
13:19makes it among WWE's most fascinating what-if scenarios.

13:40Number 1.
13:41Only 6 people knew about John Cena's heel turn.
13:44I love the surprise.
13:47And that's the end goal.
13:49Whether your audience is none, one, or 100,000.
13:53Not since Hulk Hogan and WCW has a heel turn rocked the entire wrestling landscape.
13:59After over two decades as the biggest babyface in the industry,
14:03John Cena betrayed the WWE universe by selling out to The Rock.
14:07As revealed in Unreal,
14:09the only people who knew about it were Triple H,
14:11Nick Khan, The Rock, Travis Scott, Cody Rhodes, and Cena himself.
14:16You like it or you don't.
14:18And he was like, I like it a lot, actually.
14:22And when I hung up the phone with him,
14:24within a minute, minute and a half,
14:25I've gotten like three different texts from him of thoughts, ideas,
14:29and so I'm like, he's engaged.
14:31The secret was so closely guarded
14:33that even the production crew found out in real time.
14:36Although Unreal leaked plenty of industry secrets,
14:39some for better, some for worse,
14:41this one feels entirely earned,
14:43offering a whole new perspective on a heel turn
14:45that may never be topped in pro wrestling history.
14:48I appreciate the question,
14:50but anything in the realm of what we do,
14:53I don't like to spoil it.
14:54Did you think Unreal revitalized pro wrestling or killed it?
14:58Let us know in the comments.
