00:00Pakatan Harapan is working to avoid three-cornered contests with Barisan Nacional and Gabungan Rakyat Sabah in the upcoming state election, says Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim.
00:12Anwar, who is also the chairman for PH and PGR, said talks are ongoing to reach an understanding among the three coalitions, Sinar Haryan reported.
00:23He said they may choose not to contest certain seats to prevent division.
00:26He also said PH's seat allocation for the state election will be decided by its election committee.
00:33GRS chairman Haji Jinnor announced on July 27th that the ruling coalition and PH had agreed to form an alliance for the polls.
00:43BN chairman Ahmad Zahid Hamidi also said the coalition's cooperation with PH in Sabah was locked in since the May announcement.
00:51However, as both BN and GRS are not formally working with one another, the two coalitions are expected to clash in the state election due to be held by the end of the year.
