The 907-horsepower Lamborghini Temerario raises the supercar bar as it slides into the Italian automaker’s lineup to replace the long-serving Huracán.

00:45what's the temerario well it replaces the urican and the urican replaced the gallardo and the gallardo replaced it's called the yalpa
00:57remember the yalpa you're probably not old enough but in the 1980s there was a car smaller than the kuntosh it was called the yalpa and just like this car it had a v8
01:10ok that v8 was nothing like this that was a 3.5 liter transverse mounted naturally aspirated v8
01:15this v8 is like well it's like nothing else on earth here's some of the details
01:20four liters yeah that's common flat plane crank that's getting more common
01:24two turbos that are like yo big like 75 mil like a truck turbo in fact they're so big they're supposed to be a hot v they can't even fit they have to sit above the v
01:31it revs to 10 000 rpm
01:3610 000 rpm actually in launch mode it revs to
01:3910 250 rpm that's wild that's insane
01:46output at the crank is 789 horsepower then you add in the two motors on the front axle total system output 907 horsepower
01:58this is the temerario as legerita what a legerita you've heard of super leggera that means lightweight a legerita means she's light

02:12okay what is it well it's a 49 000 option so 67 percent more downforce 62 percent more aerodynamic stability and 55 pounds lighter or thereabouts 25 kilos
02:25you get a carbon fiber splitter up front which helps all the air instability you get different side panels and you get this cool carbon fiber duck bill spoiler at the back
02:34other things to know about the temerario it's now break by wire compared to the uricon which means the pedal feel is going to stay consistent
02:43it's got much more braking power they've gone from eight to ten piston calipers
02:47compared to the uricon you've got way more power way more torque way more aero way more stopping power i cannot wait to drive this thing we're here at a racetrack let's do it

04:04wow massively impressed i mean the last time i drove this track i was in like a porsche cup car this is essentially double the horsepower
04:12and honestly easier to drive like when did 900 horsepower cars become so easy to drive

04:33i remember when i was here with lamborghini and the svj i think we were hitting like 279 280 281
04:42the svj and this thing just boom 304 way faster on that front straight so it's a combination of being able to
04:51come out of airton center corner which are actually in right now come out of this better but also like just
04:56hammer down horsepower and again 789 horsepower from the rear axle that's more than the svj made
05:05plus you got the front axles launching you out of the corner
05:15what an impressive car what an absolutely impressive thing big carbon fiber shift paddles they are hard mounted
05:22meaning they don't move which you know i like that some people don't like that i don't know i think it's
05:27like you know with a shifter as you turn the steering wheel would you want the shifter to move no you
05:32wouldn't want that so i think it's good to know where the paddles are other people feel very different
05:37race cars tend to do this
05:41power is just obscene off the charts wild crazy i love it i love how fast this thing is
05:49that handling it's playful it's easy you know within a lap or two i was just ready to push
05:55and again i really think the definition of a good performance car is one that's easy to drive
06:02a lot of people like oh i had to tame the beast and all this nonsense and i don't want that i want to be
06:07able to like go hard go fast have fun you know make some good lap times it's just i don't know it makes
06:13i don't know it makes makes me confident and i'm gonna push harder when i'm confident

06:29oh just beautifully rotates just fantastic this car is just rapid
06:37breaking is massively improved i will say if you do like not panic stopping but real heavy braking from
06:50a real high speed it does that lamborghini thing where there's you know the front bite like crazy a
06:55little bit of wiggle in the back maybe you're feeling the weight there you know because this is going to be
07:00two electric motors and a battery heavier than the urican was not a super lightweight even with the
07:06a leisurely to package but there's so much power you don't miss it and again like handling is like
07:12neutral with a touch of oversteer just a touch especially when you're in sport mode just wants to
07:18waggle and do all those fun drifty things there's a drift mode i can't drift you might like it there's a launch mode it's awesome
07:25in conclusion lamborghini built a better entry-level sports car it's a very very impressive first effort on
07:45this platform remember 907 horsepower we're going to see crazy things come out of the temerario platform
