01:13:59Now that machine, by the grace of God, when they unplugged it,
01:14:04my heart started working on its own for the very first time.

01:14:09And that ventilator had radiation.
01:14:10And the radiation, although it's kept me alive,
01:14:13it also took 90% of my bilateral hearing.
01:14:17What exactly does that mean?
01:14:19So basically, it means that I lost 90% hearing in both ears, Vic.
01:14:23Well, growing up, it must have been difficult,
01:14:25but it still has to be a struggle to communicate.
01:14:30Communication has never really been my thing, Vic.
01:14:32You know, at a young age, I had to teach myself how to read lips.
01:14:35I didn't start speaking until I was four years old.
01:14:38Now, I won't do this to you,
01:14:39but growing up, I used to grab my parents' face
01:14:41and point them towards me so I could read their lips.
01:14:43And in car rides, I would even have them put the rearview mirror on their faces
01:14:47so that I could understand what they're saying while we're driving.
01:14:50So reading lips is basically like a cheat code for me.
01:14:52It helped me communicate and understand.
01:14:55Lips, hand movement, body language, anything and everything helps.
01:14:58Look, man, you have such a great perspective
01:15:00perspective on everything that you've been through, through life.
