00:14his passing in a lengthy statement posted to Instagram on July 29th, where she emotionally

00:19talks about her father's health and their relationship over the years, writing in part

00:24quote, we shared a quiet sacred bond, one that could be seen and felt by anyone who witnessed

00:30us together. When he left this earth, it felt like part of my spirit left with him. I felt it before

00:36the news even reached us. Brooke is the eldest child of Hulk and Linda Hogan. The pair were married from

00:441983 to 2009 and are also parents to 35-year-old son Nick. Brooke previously confirmed that she has

00:51been estranged from both her parents, and in a lengthy tribute, she set the record straight on

00:56why she stopped talking to her dad, writing there wasn't a big fight that caused a strain in their

01:02relationship. Quote, it was a series of private phone calls no one will ever hear, know, or understand.

01:08My father was confiding in me about issues weighing on his heart both personal and business.

01:13I offered to be a life raft in whatever capacity he needed. Brooke then explained she encouraged her

01:20dad to take care of himself after being by his side for quote, almost 25 surgeries, but one day

01:26something changed. Quote, it was like there was a force field around him that I couldn't get through.

01:31He was telling me these things, being so vulnerable with me, and heard my pleas. Then suddenly something

01:36shifted, and he made a choice to walk the path that clearly tore at his spirit. Brooke then explains

01:43she decided to take a step back from her relationship with her dad to quote, protect her heart.

01:48After they had a series of quote, respectful disagreements that took an emotional toll,

01:54all while she was going through a complicated pregnancy with her twins, Oliver and Molly.

01:58Despite taking a step back, Brooke writes in her tribute quote,

02:02I know in my heart I did everything I could. He knew I would run through a burning building for him,

02:07and in many ways, along the path of life, I did. He knows how deeply, how hard, and how purely I loved

02:13him. I am at peace knowing this. Brooke's post comes a day after her mom, Linda, spoke out publicly

02:20for the first time on Instagram. Linda was Hulk's first wife. He went on to marry Jennifer McDaniel

02:26from 2010 to 2021, and then Sky Daily in 2023. Hulk's manager confirmed last week that the wrestler

02:34died at age 71. The city of Clearwater, Florida also released a statement noting that police and fire

02:40personnel responded to a medical call for cardiac arrest at Hulk's home on July 24th. They said

02:46Hulk, born Terry Buella, was treated by rescue crews on site before he was taken to the hospital

02:51and pronounced dead. The icon shot to wrestling fame in the 1980s and went on to win 12 total heavyweight

02:59championships, six with the WWE, and another six with the WCW.
