00:00Let's get watches off, gloves on, and dive into this thing. What do you think?
00:03Let's do it.
00:04First things first, we've got a little cotter pin that needs pulled.
00:08One thing about working on old bikes is everything's old.
00:10Pretty corroded and crusty.
00:12Oh, come on.
00:13Hey, there we go. Now it's off.
00:14Throw that on the ground so we can pop a tire with it later.
00:1722 millimeter impact socket and big yellow.
00:19Then we're just gonna break the axle nut loose.
00:23Axle is held in place with a couple of pinch bolts.
00:26These shouldn't be torqued super tight.
00:27Remember when I said these didn't need to be super tight?
00:30That's probably too tight.
00:31It is your front wheel.
00:32Get the compulsion to just make these horse tight.
00:35But the thing that's holding the front wheel on is the axle nut on the other side.
00:39These are literally just pinching the axle so that it doesn't rotate and try to loosen the bolt on the other side.
00:44All right, so that's out.
00:46Ah, like butter.
00:47That fender washer that just fell out of there is not a stock Yamaha piece.
00:51That's a Ace Hardware piece.
00:53Maybe not advisable, but it's what's here.
00:54Pro tip.
00:55And if you want people to tell you you look dumb on the internet, try and restore an old dirt bike.
01:00It works wonders.
01:01It's my treatise on YouTube comment.
