00:00when a hurricane is on the horizon last-minute store runs can be chaotic and that's if supplies
00:08are even available experts say planning ahead makes all the difference there's items that you
00:13should have that I call stable items that you should get a prior to any storm or natural
00:17disaster such as batteries gas can tarp sandbags and plywood another must-have water it's often
00:25overlooked until it's gone they often forget about how much water you may need to consume let's say
00:30water is not operable in your area though a couple gallons of water may be suitable for you to have
00:35on hand prior to any event of that hurricane yard prep is also key high winds can turn ordinary items
00:41into dangerous projectiles loose debris items such as trash cans that you may keep outside of your
00:46house any different type of shrubbery that need to be trimmed back I think if you feel handy you can
00:52get some of these brush and debris removed and anything that you can move inside of your garage
00:56or a closed setting and when the storm is over don't rush back in power lines and debris can still pose
01:02a threat it's good to kind of take a local check with some of the municipalities to kind of see what
01:06is the landscape of what's going on before you just start stepping on a property for AccuWeather
