00:11England successfully defended its title by beating world champion Spain in a shootout in the final in Basel on Sunday.

00:19Your performances have inspired the nation and lifted women's football to new heights

00:25and Keir sends his warmest congratulations to every player, every coach and every person

00:33who has helped the team to this historic achievement.

00:38The first England squad to win a major tournament on foreign soil used the moment in the spotlight

00:43to urge the government to do more for women's football.

00:47Head coach Serena Vichman said steps have been taken but we're not done yet.

00:52No, I hope we keep investing together and keep growing the game together as the women's game

00:58because we don't want to copy the men's game on the women's game.

01:01We have our own identity and our own speciality.
