00:07In a heartfelt interview with The Guardian, the 66-year-old star shared how watching her
00:12legendary parents, Janet Leigh and Tony Curtis, get rejected by the film industry, which deeply
00:18impacted a perspective on aging and fame.
00:21I witnessed my parents lose the very thing that gave them their fame, their life and
00:25their livelihood when the industry rejected them at a certain age.
00:30The Freakier Friday actress shared, I watched them reach incredible success and then have
00:35it slowly erode to where it was gone and that's very painful.
00:40Jamie Lee Curtis further admitted that she's been self-retiring for 30 years.
00:45She explained, I've been prepping to get out so that I don't have to suffer the same
00:50as my family did.
00:52I want to leave the party before I'm no longer invited.
00:55Curtis is recently reprising her role as Tess Coleman in Freakier Friday, a sequel of the
