'Nobody Acknowledged It, Nobody Talks About It': Trump Touts U.S. Food Aid To Gaza

While meeting with EU President Ursula von der Leyen in Scotland, President Trump touted U.S. food aid to Gaza.

00:20weeks ago and nobody even acknowledged it for food and it's terrible you know

00:27you really at least want to have somebody say thank you no other country gave

00:39acknowledged it nobody talks about it and it makes you feel a little bad when

00:44you do that and you know you have other countries not giving anything none of

00:49the European countries by the way gave I mean nobody gave but us and nobody said

00:54gee thank you very much and it would be nice to have at least a thank you and I

00:58took a lot of heat you know when I when I do that a lot of people aren't happy

01:02about that because they say well why are we doing it and nobody else but I think

01:06we had a humanitarian reason for doing it what's gonna happen I don't know I can

01:12tell you that Hamas as I said would happen at the end you know we've gotten

01:17back a lot of hostages a tremendous number of hostages most of them now we

01:23have dead hostages and the mothers want them back and we have 20 people

01:28approximately but that are living but we have a lot of bodies and the parents want

01:35those bodies as much as they would want their child if that child were alive I

01:40was I met with parents that were it was so sad sir please get my son back how is

01:47your son doing well he's dead but they have his body and it's so important it's

01:52important more important it's almost like more but it's as important as if

01:57the child were living these people were I mean they're devastated and I said when

02:04you get it down to a certain number you're gonna be able to make a deal with

02:07Hamas because once they give them up then they feel that that's gonna be the

02:13end of them and what I said is exactly true you know they had a routine

02:18discussion the other day and all of a sudden they hardened up they don't want

02:21to give them back and so Israel's gonna have to make a decision I know what I do

02:29but I don't think it's appropriate that I say but Israel is gonna have to make a

02:33decision
