00:00Bill Miller tells me he and his wife Jendi were here at Renzi Park to watch their daughter at a softball camp.
00:06They were sitting along Brewster Field just a few feet apart in a row of other parents
00:11when he heard a cracking sound that jolted him from his seat.
00:15But I said to my wife, let's go. I jumped out of my chair, felt a small branch of some sort that grazed my leg.
00:28And I immediately turned to my right to look back for her, to look at her,
00:35and she was face down with a large, multiple branches and limbs.
00:46Multiple branches 10 to 12 inches thick, he recalled.
00:49He said immediately people began to help move the branches off of her, but the damage was severe.
00:55She was rushed to Forbes Hospital but did not survive.
00:58Bill said his wife of 17 years was known for her big heart and kind spirit
01:02and a love for their travel softball family in Western Pennsylvania, Ohio, and West Virginia.
01:08Wednesday night, they were here cheering on their daughter in the Western Pennsylvania College Showcase.
01:13I think I'm in shock and surreal that it's not, it obviously hasn't hit me the worst,
01:19nor my daughter for that matter.
01:22She is being very strong and, you know, worried about Dad, just as I'm worried about her.
01:30I've reached out to McKeesport Police but have not yet heard back.
