00:01Hey everybody, this video is gonna be a little bit different today. We're gonna have some fun
00:04We're gonna take this 1998 Stewart-Stevenson on a test drive. That's Tyler up in the driver's seat
00:09Show you guys how this thing starts and then just go for a quick driver
00:16So pretty simple on these you'll have a power switch here
00:22You'll flip that that'll give it all the instrument panel power and then you will have a push button
00:28Start here. Some of our trucks do have a keyed ignition
00:33installed over the factory push button
00:36Push this here
00:39That'll allow the trucks to start
00:46Biggest thing on these is before you
00:49Drive the truck you want to make sure your front and rear air brakes are about 90 pounds of pressure at least
00:55They will run all the way up to a hundred and twenty
01:00Another thing is before you drive on all military vehicles
01:04You do have to turn on the lights to have any kind of turn signals brake lights
01:11This one here is a factory push button light switch
01:14They do have another style that you'll see in a lot of trucks, which is just a three lever light switch
01:20All of them do the same thing just a little bit different on the looks
01:23So as we were talking before we took off you have your air brake you have your front brake system your rear brake system
01:44You can see we're running about 120. That's what the air governor is about set at on the air compressor
01:49Standard fuel gauge right now. We're running about a half tank of fuel on this truck
01:55Speedometer does have your miles on it. This trucks got ten thousand eight hundred and sixty three miles
02:02Standard oil pressure gauge battery voltage and then your
02:07Water temperature right now. We're running about a hundred and ninety is what it looks like on the gauge on this truck
02:13Specifically we have a factory hydraulic winch on this truck, which will give you a factory tachometer up here on the dash
02:23Most trucks that do not have winches
02:27Will not have a tachometer
02:29Like I said this one does
02:31And all your winch options just right beside it some of the wreckers will have those as well
02:36And then that's kind of your basic gauges that you were going to use in your everyday driving
02:43Thank you guys for coming along for the ride that was the quick go-around in a 1078 steward stevenson
02:52LMTV you guys have any questions or need anything feel free to reach out to us at Midwest military equipment.com. Thanks for watching
