00:03You probably heard about the earthquake that hit Japan.

00:06It happened under the ocean when two chunks of the Earth's crust suddenly shifted.

00:11This jolted the sea above it, sending tons of water into motion.

00:14That water became a series of fast-moving, powerful waves called a tsunami.

00:18In some places, when the tsunami hit, the waves were two stories high.

00:22Huge earthquakes and tsunamis are scary, but luckily, they don't happen often.
