Datuk Seri Rafizi Ramli has relaunched “Ayuh Malaysia”, a social enterprise initiative designed to generate economic activities that benefit society, rather than focusing solely on profit.
Speaking to reporters after the launch on Sunday (July 27), the former Economy Minister said Malaysia continues to rely heavily on the public and private sectors for the provision of goods and services, while the role of social enterprises — which he described as the “third sector” — remains underdeveloped.
The Pandan MP added that “Ayuh Malaysia” will run a six-month pilot phase to assess the response and impact of seven participating social enterprises before expanding further.
