The cast of 'Gen V' stop by THR's suite at San Diego Comic-Con and talk about that explosive season one finale and dish on where season two picks up and what to expect from each character. Plus, they reveal if there will be any surprise cameos in season two and more!

00:26Reporter. Nailed it. So the season one finale was explosive in so many ways.
00:32Where does season two pick up from what you can tell us? Well season two we pick
00:37up where the boys left off really. Homelander is taking over and you feel
00:42that on the Godolken campus like really extremely almost right away. So that's
00:46where we pick up. In the season one finale Marie starts to really realize just how
00:51powerful she can be. How will she step more into her power in season two? Yeah I
00:56mean you know in season one Marie's whole thing was like you know in order to
01:01use my power it has to hurt and then learning that she doesn't have to like
01:04cut her hands to use her powers it kind of opens up a whole world of what's
01:08possible and we definitely explore that quite a bit in season two. Now Maddie
01:12for you, Kate was really kind of the instigator of the massacre in a lot of
01:17ways but at the end of season one she's hailed as one of the new you know
01:20guardians of Godolken. What can you say about what we can expect from her in season two?
01:24We can expect to see the consequences of when one's misguided actions affect literally
01:35everybody. So there's a lot of tension there with the friends and yeah it's
01:43it's exciting and yeah Explosive was funny. And London and Derek for you when I was
01:50watching season one it's almost like you kind of forget that there's two of you
01:53playing the one part because it just so seamlessly flows from one person to the
01:58other. How do you work together to create this seamless portrayal?
02:02Telepathically. We just speak telepathically. That's it.
02:08Yeah we we I mean we collaborate together. We talked about it and had a good meeting but I think it is just it is kind of telepathically at this point.
02:16And then Hamish for you talked about your character
02:19this season and what we're gonna see from him.
02:21I play the new Dean at Godolken University Dean Cypher and I am a bit of a cypher.
02:32Yeah now you mentioned Homelander you know we saw him in the season one finale and of course then saw the you know
02:40just what happened in the boys last season and there were some other cameos from people
02:44uh from the boys in season one of Gen V. Can we expect more of that in season two?
02:50Yes. We'll have some really good ones and maybe some unexpected ones and some fun ones but like
02:58we really try to connect to both shows and sort of have a through line
03:05um in the story of both shows so it's fun but also we stand on our own as our own thing too.
03:13And how do you work to balance that making it its own world and own show but also fitting into this
03:18greater the boys universe? To be honest it's not too hard I think because both shows have a really
03:23distinct identity um and I said the first season of the show the good guys on our show are the bad
03:31guys on the boys in some ways um and so you're sort of seeing it from these guys perspective where
03:38they're you know ripe to be corrupted by VOD but like are they going to be um so yeah and we we're
03:46always talking to Eric Kripke and collaborating on how we can fit into each other's worlds um and yes
03:56just the shows talk to each other in a really fun way. Now I want to have you do some fun bucket
