00:41this Giants team but Ramos has

00:43struggled and the Mets get

00:53Lindor dives back in safely at first

00:55base nice cutoff there by Chapman

00:58and he nearly nailed Lindor trying to

01:02have first and third and nobody out

01:03and here is Soto here's the pitch

01:07bluff throw to second by Bailey so

01:09Lindor steals the base and the Mets

01:10have runners at second and third

01:12now threatening to jump ahead the

01:13Giants infield will stay back and

01:15Juan groundswell on the right side

01:16that'll get the run in Nemo comes

01:18in to score Schmidt throws out Soto

01:21one out one nothing New York

01:23Alonzo sits seven home runs in this

01:25ballpark in limited action he lifts

01:28one out to right that should be deep

01:30enough to get the run in the

01:31Strutsky is under it here comes

03:45one in the inning two quick outs for

03:48Holmes Patrick Bailey the switch in and

03:50catcher and he goes down swinging on

03:52the high heater Holmes has his first

03:54strike on the nice bounce back getting

03:55against the lower third of the order

03:57two to one is Francisco Lindor one for

03:59one with a run scored in a stolen base

04:01and Lindor hits one out to right field

04:03headed toward the wall and it's out of here

04:06Francisco Lindor with his 20th home run

04:10of the year three to one New York

04:12well Lindor busted out with a couple of

04:14hits after an 0 for 31 on Wednesday a

04:17single and now a home run in his first

04:19two at bats tonight it appears that the

04:21slump is behind him it's amazing how you

04:24get a couple hits and you find it why I

04:28don't have the answer double play that

04:30erases the lead off single Clay Holmes

04:32gets the two ball and there's two away

04:34there's Willie Thomas hammer down the

04:37left field line and a fair ball and

04:40this has got a double right now you make

04:41mistakes anywhere that strikes over to

04:43Willie Thomas he's gonna make you pay so

04:45Chapman will hit now with two outs tops

04:47one toward third Mauricio's got it on a

04:49big bounce winds up throws wide to first

04:52and Alonzo has to come off the bag to

04:54take that bad throw and Chapman save and

04:58John Gibbons says challenge the call and

05:00the Mets are gonna challenge the call

05:02feeling as though Alonzo did get the tag

05:05on Chapman he got him on the helmet

05:06yeah yeah let's have a good another

05:08look and he hits the helmet yep he got

05:11the helmet it's an out after you the

05:13call on the field is overturned the

05:14runners out you won't retain their

05:17challenge so the Mets challenge you get

05:19the third out of the inning on the

05:20nice tag by Alonzo on the helmet of

05:22Chapman Webb just a little bit of

05:25reference for what he did to the Mets

05:26last year made two starts against them

05:29one unearned run tonight he is showing

05:32some size and some holes bases loaded

05:35nobody out Mets have already scored

05:36three you've got to put them away this

05:39is an inning for the Mets to try to do

05:40that with Taylor and then turning over

05:42that lineup Taylor chops one to short a

05:45dollars with a nice pickup flips to

05:46second one the relay not in time as

05:49Beatty comes home to make it four to

05:51one tonight runners at the corners with

05:53one out and a chance for Nemo there goes

05:56Taylor the throw by Bailey is a good one

05:58and Taylor beats it anyway Daly's got the

06:01best pop time of any catcher in

06:03baseball he's just so terrific at

06:06getting rid of the ball but Taylor got

06:08such a huge jump against Webb he steals

06:10the base anyway now the infield has to

06:11come in second and third one out and

06:14Nemo lines one into center field for a

06:16base hit and that'll bring in two more

06:17Alvarez is home Taylor right behind him

06:20two more runs driven in by Nemo and the

06:23Mets now with a six one lead in the

06:25fourth inning second hit for Nemo

06:28tonight RBI is number 58 and 59 on the

06:30year back-to-back base hits from the

06:33eight and nine hitters to start the

06:34inning but it got Ramos to pop up

06:36struck out Devers Holmes realizes this

06:39is his last inning he wants the W two

06:41one coming popped it up got it and

06:43Beatty is there and Clay Holmes does

06:46some masterful extrication in the fifth

06:49inning throws a season high in pitches

06:51and gets through the fifth having a

06:53lot just one run John Hooli coming up

06:56bottom of the sixth runner at first

06:570 and 2 two outs and he goes the

07:00other way for a base kick around and

07:04now wisely putting on the brakes with

07:06the strength and down five runs it's

07:09not time to be courageous on the

07:10pace pass to kind of go station to

07:12station get an opportunity to get

07:14back in this game here's Schmidt and a

07:16swing and a miss he got it with a

07:17changeup kept throwing it and finally

07:20got Schmidt to swing at it and the

07:22giant strand runners in second and

07:23third after six six one New York so

07:27now Soto trying to add on here for

07:28the ninth inning Mets ahead by five

07:30two outs second and third and skips

07:33away from Bailey and here comes Acuna

07:35and he will score to make it seven

07:37to one move to third on the play and

07:40a ground ball off the pitching

07:41rubber and into center field the

07:43base hit and to bring in Lindor and

07:46Soto's got his second RBI of the

07:47night and his sixty first of the

07:49year they're adding on here Castillo

07:51has a couple of strikeouts here in

07:53the ninth leaving the Giants down to

07:55their final out he struck him out and

07:58the ball game is over three

07:59strikeouts in the ninth inning for

08:01Jose Castillo capping off four

08:03scoreless innings for the Mets

08:04bullpen and the Mets win their fifth

08:06in a row as they wallop Logan Webb and

08:09the Giants eight to one.
