Part 30 of the walkthrough of Mass Effect 2 for the PC.
Transcript
00:00Oh
00:30No!
01:00That must be the ship Samara was looking for.
01:27They'll want this info back at the police station. Should we head there now?
01:31Let's give her the name and keep moving.
01:47I wanted to be a Justicar when I was young. Every Asari does, I guess.
01:53Thank you for removing the eclipse threat, EarthClan. It will take them months to rebuild their organization.
02:00Also, merely out of curiosity, when you were poking about, did you perhaps run across a shipping manifest that belongs to me?
02:11You never know when something like this might come in handy.
02:15If it might change your mind, EarthClan, returning that manifest would be very profitable for you.
02:22If you give it to the detective, her reward will be a pat on the back.
02:31If you have something that'll encourage the Justicar to leave, show it to her.
02:43I've got the name of the ship. Your fugitive left here two days ago on the AML Demeter.
02:48Shepard, Shepard, you impressed me. You fulfilled your part of the bargain, and I will fulfill mine.
02:55I am ready to leave immediately, if that will satisfy your superiors, detective.
03:03You're free to go, Justicar. It has been an honor having you in my station. And it's nice you didn't kill me, too.
03:10The Eclipse smuggled an Ardott Yakshi off-world. She's who you're really after, isn't she?
03:15You continue to impress. Yes, I was here tracking the Ardott Yakshi.
03:20She is a dangerous criminal, and I will bring her to justice. After your mission is complete, of course.
03:27The Normandy is docked near the main trading floor. I'll see you aboard.
03:31I must be sworn to your service, so that I am never forced to choose between your orders and the code.
03:40By the code, I will serve you, Shepard. Your choices are my choices. Your morals are my morals. Your wishes are my code.
04:01I never thought I'd see a Justicar swear an oath like that.
04:13If you make me do anything extremely dishonorable, I may need to kill you when I'm released from my oath.
04:19You'll be a great asset to our mission. I'm excited to have you along.
04:23I am glad to hear it. I will fight by your side, kill your enemies, and protect your friends. Shall we return to your ship?
04:32I need to speak to the detective.
04:34Thanks for getting Samara out of my district. I can tell my granddaughters about meeting at Justicar. And you've just upped my chances of living long enough to have grandkids.
04:46I have proof that Eclipse killed the Volus merchant.
04:51Let's see what you've got there.
04:56Interesting. But I can't verify it. It would be inadmissible.
05:01I vouch for Shepard, and any evidence he brings forward.
05:06I accept the judgment of the Justicar.
05:10Thanks Shepard. I wasn't sure about trusting a stranger, and a human at that.
05:15But you came through. It's a shame this Elnora escaped. But I'll get her. At least you put her on the run.
05:22Okay, enough with all the congratulations. I've still got a spiraling crime rate.
05:27I have proof that Pitney IV smuggled in red sand and illegal weapons tech.
05:32I'll send in some officers to arrest him in his cohorts. This is a big help, Shepard.
05:37I can't do much to thank you. But we do have a small discretionary bounty fund. Take this.
06:21Welcome to the Normandy, Samara. We've studied your profile extensively.
06:24With your skills, I think you'll be an excellent addition to our team.
06:28Thank you. From an organization such as yours, that is high praise indeed.
06:34I've seen Samara's biotic powers at work. They're substantial.
06:38We still don't know what we're gonna find when we hit the Collectors.
06:41I will be prepared for whatever we encounter.
06:44Where shall we put you?
06:45A room that looks out on the great empty void would be most comforting.
06:49Put her in the observation room on Deck 3.
06:51Thank you. I must meditate on the day's events.

11:37Let's go.
11:47Tight little group you got here, and a pretty nice ship.
11:49You'd be rich if you took to piracy, but you wouldn't.
11:53I can't figure you, Shepard.
11:55Doesn't matter. I've got to talk to you about something.
11:59I'd like to ask you a few things.
12:01Later. I have to talk to you now.
12:03I got thoughts, like little bugs crawling in and out of my head. I can't stop them.
12:14You know I have a history with Cerberus. You know how far back it goes?
12:19I'll listen to anything you have to say, Jack.
12:21Your pal, the elusive man? Never seen him before, but Cerberus raised me.
12:26First thing I remember is my cell door in a Cerberus base.
12:30They did experiments, drugged me, tortured me.
12:33Whatever chance I had to be normal, they stole it by trying to turn me into some superbiotic.
12:38The doctors. The other kids. Every one of them hated me. They let me suffer.
12:45What did they hope to gain by torturing a little girl?
12:48It was something about pain breaking down mental barriers and how it might clear the way for a more biotic power.
12:54I'm sure there was a payoff due at some point, but I wasn't going to see it. I was wired up in a cell.
12:59They tortured you just to see if they could make a strong biotic? That's it?
13:05Wasn't in a position to ask, Shepard.
13:09All I know is a little girl crying in a cell, begging for the pain to stop.
13:14How did you get out of there?
13:18There was some kind of emergency, and I made a break for it. The other kids came out of their cells and attacked me. So did the guards.
13:25I just killed everything in my way and ran. I guess my biotics had developed faster than they thought.
13:29I managed to get a shuttle off the ground, drifted until a freighter picked me up.
13:33The crew used me, then sold me.
13:35That's my uplifting escape story.
13:40There were other children in the base?
13:42I didn't know much about them. I was kept separate.
13:45They hated me just like everyone else there.
13:48When I broke out, I had to fight through them all.
13:50I showed them. But there's a loose end I need to deal with.
13:55You're absolutely certain that Cerberus was running the facility?
13:58I was a kid, but I wasn't dumb.
14:00I know how to listen.
14:01It was Cerberus. Don't care how far down the chain it was.
14:05They thought they were so clever.
14:08Turns out, mess with someone's head enough, and you can turn a scared kid into an all-powerful bitch.
14:14Fucking idiots.
14:16I'm gonna talk to the elusive man, and he better have some answers.
14:20He'll just deny everything. That's not what I'm after anyway.
14:23I found the coordinates in your files.
14:25I want to go to the Telton facility on Pragya, where they tortured and drugged me.
14:29I want to go to the center of the place, my cell.
14:32I want to deploy a big fucking bomb, and I want to watch from orbit when it goes.
14:38Attacking our allies is gonna derail our mission. Not a smart move.
14:43The files say it was shut down after my escape. It's been abandoned for years.
14:47They going to care if I blow up a garbage dump?
14:51You've lived with this your whole life. Why do this now?
14:54Like I said, I found the coordinates in your files. You can't expect me to just sit on information like that.
15:01I'll set a course for Pragya.
15:03I owe you, Shepard.
15:04You came all the way down here to see us?
15:26You're speaking to our commanding officer.
15:29I'm touring the ship, getting to know my crew.
15:31I'm Engineer Ken Donnelly, handling the power control systems. This is Gabby.
15:36That's Engineer Gabriela Daniels, actually. I'm responsible for the propulsion systems.
15:42What can we do for you, Commander?
15:45Are you set up okay down here?
15:47We can't complain. I just wish it didn't take so long to calibrate the FBA arrays.
15:51Kenneth, you're complaining.
15:53What kind of problems are you having?
15:54When they upgraded the Normandy design, they got a bit sloppy with the FBA couplings.
15:59I won't bore you with the tech, but there's an array of attenuators in the primary power transfer system that channels the field bleed.
16:05Kenneth, you're boring the Commander with tech.
16:08In short, if we had T-6 FBA couplings installed, it'd save us a lot of maintenance time each day.
16:13Why isn't something like that already installed?
16:16It's probably just a design oversight. Efficiency isn't affected. It's a maintenance issue.
16:20Also, the T-6 model can be hard to find. Nash and Stellar Dynamics discontinued them.
16:26We could probably find used ones in the Omega Markets, but we have no time for shore leave.
16:32Where did you receive your training?
16:34Both Gabby and I started in the Alliance, serving on the SSV Perugia.
16:38She flew in the first wave at the Battle of the Citadel. We saw Sovereign firsthand.
16:44Why did you leave the Perugia?
16:46After you died, that weasel Udina backslid on the Reaper Menace.
16:50They discounted Sovereign as an isolated threat, as a single-
16:54Which was bullshit. They said your warnings of greater danger were mistaken or delusional.
16:59We lost respect for Alliance leadership. We need to fight the real enemy, and only Cerberus seemed to be doing that.
17:06How did you wind up with Cerberus, Ken?
17:09Once you were gone, the Alliance brass descended like vultures, tearing apart everything you'd said.
17:13I was very public with my defense for you. I didn't hold back.
17:17That's an understatement. If Kenneth wasn't such a talented engineer, they'd have court-martialed him for insubordination.
17:24But it got me noticed by the elusive man. He made an offer, and here I am.
17:28So why did you join, Gabby?
17:30Kenneth and I have been partners in crime since we graduated from Tech Academy.
17:34When he got the Cerberus offer, I insisted that it include me. He'd fall apart without me.
17:39Thanks, Mum.
17:40Also, I love engines, and the Normandy is state-of-the-art. When I got the opportunity to work on her, I had to jump.
17:48What do you think about Cerberus?
17:50Actually, we don't know much about the organization other than the Normandy team. We know our mission, and who's in charge.
17:56We're off to kick the Collectors right in their daddy bags. That's enough for me.
18:01Carry on.
18:02Well do, Commander.
18:03I'm amazed Shepard came down to see it.
18:08I told you he would.
18:33Commander, Morden requests to see you.
20:03Probe launched.
