Hear from 2025 Sunshine Walk Champion Jane Mackinlay

00:00Hi, my name's Jane McKinlay and I am the 2025 Sunshine Walk Community Champion.
00:08So in 2018, I was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma.
00:15It's a blood cancer and it's one that I'm in remission for at the moment and experiencing really good health.
00:24But my journey has been made so much easier.
00:30Just simply because of the Aubrey-Wodonga Cancer Centre.
00:33It's an amazing facility.
00:36It's a place where people who live regionally, not just here in Aubrey-Wodonga,
00:42but if we think, you know, if you drew a ring around places that are two, three, four hours away from Aubrey,
00:50we have so many people from those outlying areas who also rely on coming to that place.
00:56Where there's many facilities there, staff are amazing and it's just the impact it's had on me personally
01:05is what really drove me to think, yes, I can give back to something that has given me so much.
