00:01It's lights out, away we go. It wasn't a hold for very long at the start.
00:05Leclerc gets away well ahead of Hamilton and Vettel.
00:08And then on the inside, Alex Albon on Valtteri Bottas, making up a place at the start maybe.
00:12That's Max Verstappen ahead of Bottas, then comes Albon and then Carlos Sainz as well.
00:16Vettel is really going for it with Hamilton.
00:19Carlos Sainz almost gets a little bit squirrelly coming out of Turn 3.
00:23Hamilton fighting Sebastian Vettel.
00:25Hamilton's going to be under pressure with the sheer speed of the Ferrari through the flat king of Turn 6 into the braking tone of Turn 7.
00:33And he goes to the inside, he covers the apex of the corner, critical for Hamilton.
00:37The Ferrari speed is giving Lewis Hamilton a lot to think about.
00:40Vettel's coming back at him again. Hamilton defending for all his life on this opening lap.
00:45Then Verstappen ahead of Valtteri Bottas and Alex Albon as well.
00:49Look at that, Charles Leclerc flying out in front, you can't restrain him here in Singapore tonight.
00:54I have a back turn, back turn. Yeah, Hulkenberg crest into me I think.
01:00So Sainz is taking a normal racing line, Hulkenberg's just arriving on the seat at the wrong time for him.
01:08Right, on board with Daniel Ricciardo, who's now caught up to the back of Danny Kvyat.
01:11He's got the bit between his teeth and he wants to go for it at places you don't normally see.
01:16Cars getting past. Now we've seen Felipe Massa on the bridge get past Bruno Senna before.
01:20Can Daniel Ricciardo do the same on Kvyat? No he can't.
01:23Waiting in the back there to try and pick up some scraps is Lance Stroll.
01:27They nearly had to pick up scraps of carbon fibre.
01:30He somehow avoided going into the back of the Renault.
01:32Who's going to go down the inside of Danny Kvyat at turn 14.
01:36Nicely done. Stroll gets a good exit as well out of that turn.
01:40And Kvyat's lost two places in one corner.
01:42Vettel pissed. Verstappen nearly bounced back onto the racetrack.
01:48He got in so hot into that tight left-handed into the pit lane.
01:52I don't know why that was a quick stop from Ferrari wasn't it?
01:54Well three seconds he was stationary. Verstappen 2.3 seconds.
01:59It'll be very close between Leclerc and Vettel.
02:05Well Sebastian Vettel was stationary for three seconds. Leclerc 2.4 seconds.
02:10That six tenths might just be what he needs.
02:13Has Hamilton got enough life in those tyres to really hit hammer time?
02:18So close. Look at these two. Look at these two.
02:20Well Vettel's going to get ahead of Leclerc here and he is.
02:23I thought he would. I don't think Vettel's pit stop was that slow.
02:26What the hell? I mean...
02:29Charlotte was the best things we could do. Head down, the race is long.
02:32Yeah, yeah. My head is down and it will be down until the race.
02:36I just want to let you know my feeling.
02:41As Sebastian Vettel goes down the inside up here. Gasly, this could be contact.
02:45Gasly is forced off the track there as Sebastian Vettel was coming through
02:49whether the Frenchman wanted it or not.
02:52And Vettel has put himself now up into second place.
02:54He wasn't going to hang around there and there is Max Verstappen ahead of Lance Stroll.
02:59So Verstappen moves up into sixth place.
03:03Oh, and that could have been, that could have been very, very bad for both drivers there.
03:08Gasly getting out of the way just in time before there was major contact.
03:13This is Antonio Giovinazzi. Nobody ahead of him and leading a Grand Prix at the same time.
03:23That looked like a fairly easy overtake that one. Antonio didn't put up too much of a fight.
03:28The Italian against the Ferrari.
03:30Riding on board now with Alex Albon. Very nicely done through turn five.
03:37And he's passed the Alfa Romeo that has been using the medium tyre for the entirety of this race.
03:44And he's trying to defend against Daniel Ricciardo. And they contact at turn seven.
03:49And Giovinazzi comes off worst. And you hope that there's no damage on either.
03:53Giovinazzi now has another red-o right behind him.
03:56And Lando Norris, who we haven't mentioned for quite a while, is running in tenth place.
03:59Impressive if Ricciardo hasn't got right rear puncture or damage he has. He has. He has.
04:04He just sees a gap and he goes through it. That's what Ricciardo does.
04:12We have a Williams in the wall, and I think that could be George Russell.
04:18Grosjean and Russell tagling. Oh, Russell gets tagged by Grosjean and sent into the wall.
04:24It's at this point you give up on that corner. I think he just got more traction off the corner. He got more, more acceleration.
04:33Here goes Hülkenberg and Stroll. Stroll's got the inside line though on Hülkenberg who switches round.
04:38Wants to get decent traction coming out of that corner and does so. Hülkenberg ahead of Stroll.
04:45Norris maintaining his place there in seventh as best of the rest after the top three team, the big three.
04:50And he's got just Alex. Oh, it's a big lock up there by Lance Stroll.
04:56And he's got Antonio Giovinazzi with him. And he's got damage. He's got a puncture. Has Lance Stroll.
05:04Now Sergio Perez, what's happened to the racing point?
05:08Perez going very slowly indeed. And this looks like mechanical trouble for the Mexican.
05:13Check out, we need to stop the car on track. We need to stop the car on track.
05:18So find a position to stop. We need to stop on track. You have five cars behind.
05:22Down the inside goes Danny Ricciardo on Daniel Kvyat. And has he, by the time they get to the chicane, run out of room?
05:32Yes, he has. And Romain Grosjean might say thank you very much here as well as we head over the Anderson Bridge.
05:37Grosjean on the outside, Ricciardo on the inside. Ricciardo pushes Grosjean a little bit wide.
05:42They make contact, but Grosjean manages to get through. Here's Kevin Magnussen and Pierre Gasly going into Turn 14.
05:49Gasly's ahead. Hülkenberg's ahead. Magnussen's lost two places in one corner.
05:54Happened to Danny Kvyat a bit earlier on. Carlos Sainz now racing with Danny Ricciardo, and Sainz has got ahead of Ricciardo.
06:03Kimi Räikkönen is under pressure once again from Kvyat. Kvyat's going to have a go into Turn 1. Oh, dear.
06:09Broken suspension. That is Kimi Räikkönen out of the Grand Prix.
06:13Danny Kvyat got it all wrong, braking and arriving from late. Is that another safety car in this race?
06:19Yeah, definitely. Without question. He's right on the firing line.
06:24For the first time in 2019, Sebastian Vettel takes the chequered flag and wins the Singapore Grand Prix.
06:32And a win that, unlike in Canada, will stand this time around.
06:37What significant aircraft is they've just won three straight races on three completely different types of race tracks.
06:43Exactly. They're really back in business.
06:45And Ferrari are coming on strong in the second part of this season.
06:49Charles Leclerc had led the challenge tonight, though, in Singapore.
06:53The winning smile is on the face of Sebastian Vettel, back on top of the podium for the first time since Belgium last year.
07:02It's good to see it back.
07:04It's good to see it back.
