Garry Ringrose was due to start the second Test against Australia before withdrawing with concussion.

00:00It's head-related again, so I actually don't know at this stage.

00:05He was literally, as I was walking off the field, he came to me and once it's mentioned, that's that.

00:11So, there was no incident. He was feeling good, whether in advance of Tuesday, I'm fit and ready to play.

00:22No incident through the game at all. Nothing yesterday and nothing this morning at all.

00:26But with these types of things, players are getting very good at telling the truth of how they feel.

00:32So, it was a no-brainer to make the change straight away.

00:36Absolutely gutted for Gary. I've played against Gary at under-20s and we both had our international careers

00:45and to play with him and get to know him over the past few months has been a real privilege and honour.

00:52So, gutted for him that he's in this position.

00:56But it also, as you guys have alluded to, shows the measure of the man for him to be so selfless.

01:04All we ask of all of us is to be selfless and put the team first.

01:09But, you know, when push comes to shove, you see who really does it and Gary is the man that really did it.

01:18It's incredibly disappointing for Gary, but I think it goes to, I suppose, show the character and the player that he is,

01:28I suppose, to pull himself aside.

01:32And I think that would be an incredibly hard thing to do given, I suppose, the magnitude of the game.

01:39But I think it's just testament to the player and person he is to be able to, I suppose, put the team first in that sense.

01:47And, yeah, I suppose if he's not right, he's not right.

01:51And he's looking to let someone who's, I suppose, fit and able to come into the squad and do the job.

01:59But, yeah, incredibly disappointing for Gary.

02:02But, yeah, I think it just speaks volumes of him and who he is to be able to do that.
