00:00Hola y bienvenidos a M2, si es
00:09verano de superhéroes y lo
00:10hemos estado platicando mucho
00:11y en un momento vamos a
00:12compartir con ustedes la
00:13entrevista que tuvimos con
00:15Evan Moss Baccarat, Bania
00:17Zakirvi, Joseph Quinn y por
00:20supuesto Pedro Pascal porque
00:22tuvimos juntos en la sala de
00:24su hogar a los cuatro
00:25fantásticos con nosotros. Pero
00:27los cuatro fantásticos, ¿qué
00:29son? Ya sé que todos sabemos,
00:31los hemos visto por todos
00:32lados, pero ¿cuál es la
00:33historia más allá de el cómico
00:35original? ¿Por qué es
00:37particularmente interesante para
00:39Marvel en este momento este
00:41nuevo intento de llevarlo a la
00:43pantalla grande cuando
00:44realmente no ha funcionado bien
00:46antes ese intento? ¿Saben qué?
00:48Sí funcionaba muy pero muy bien
00:50y particularmente en México
00:52tuvimos una versión de esto
00:53fantástica por el doblaje, pues
00:56en los setenta las caricaturas
00:59no todo mundo las vio, pero quien
01:01las vio va a recordar y quien no
01:03las vio se va a divertir
01:06muchísimo. Un poquito de por qué
01:08conocimos por lo menos mi
01:09generación y otras tantas a los
01:11cuatro fantásticos a través de la
01:13televisión.
01:14¡Santo cielo! ¡Siento gran
01:32pesantez! ¡No puedo! ¡No puedo
01:35dominar los controles! ¡Será mejor
01:37poner el piloto automático y
01:38regresar a mí! ¡De detenerlo!
01:41¿Qué es? ¿Dónde está? ¡Usemos
01:43ese aparato! ¿Qué cosa es? Solo
01:45puede ser encontrado en un sitio
01:48infinitamente visto. Quisimos
01:49compartir esto con ustedes porque
01:51fue uno de los temas de los que
01:52platicamos pues con esta familia,
01:54si son una familia, actúan como una
01:56familia, Pedro sí parece ser el
01:58padre de familia como lo es en el
02:01personaje de los cuatro
02:02fantásticos y lo más interesante es
02:05verlos discutir como familia, sobre
02:07todo cuando había un chocolate y lo
02:09perdieron porque así empezó la
02:10entrevista, todos buscando el
02:12chocolate de los cuatro
02:13fantásticos. Por supuesto, luego ya
02:14nos fuimos a cosas más
02:16específicas como, ok, vuelve
02:18Galactus, ¿qué pasa con el
02:19Silver Surfer? ¿Qué pasa con estas
02:21cosas tan específicas de la
02:23historia original? ¿Quiénes son los
02:24villanos? ¿Y por qué estos
02:27astronautas cobran poderes un tanto
02:29distintos que los que conocíamos en
02:31el cómic e incluso en la
02:34caricatura? Los poderes son
02:35similares a los que veíamos, pero
02:37la razón de ellos cambia, así que
02:39todo esto con nuestros cuatro
02:41fantásticos.
02:43¿O no lo está? Hola, chicas.
02:45¡Qué susto! Ben es el mejor amigo
02:47de todos, incluso del mejor amigo
02:50del hombre.
02:53¿Y cómo va tu día?
02:54En julio.
02:56Los superhéroes estrella se preparan
03:06para la batalla de sus vidas.
03:08¡Agárrense!
03:09¡Ya dime qué hora es, man!
03:10¡Ya dime qué hora es, man!
03:13¡Ya dime qué hora es, man!
03:15You know what? Many people have
03:16different experience with the
03:17Fantastic Four. I personally
03:19remember the cartoon.
03:20Oh, yeah, yeah.
03:22Did any of you come into this
03:24through the cartoon?
03:25Because in Mexico it played all the
03:26time in the 70s, 80s.
03:29It must be, it must be why they
03:31did that incredible intro that you
03:32loved particularly when they
03:34shared, uh, uh, the presentation
03:38last night.
03:39Um, empezaron con, con, con
03:41monos animados.
03:43Sí, sí.
03:43Y yo no lo he visto, bueno, he
03:45visto los originales, pero en
03:48la forma nuestra, um, uh, lo vi
03:51por la primera vez y me encantó.
03:53Es espectacular. You guys should
03:55really see that cartoon and
03:56you're going to enjoy it very
03:56much. I know there's so much
03:58fan lore and everybody wants to
04:00know a lot of things, so, uh,
04:02how do you, how do you manage
04:03this, especially now that you're
04:04doing interviews and you're
04:05meeting fans, how do you manage
04:07to know what to say and what
04:08not to say by now?
04:10Vanessa?
04:11In interviews?
04:12Anywhere. People are going to
04:13ask you anywhere, everywhere
04:15now.
04:16About Fantastic Four?
04:17Yeah.
04:18Okay. Um, I think, I know, I've
04:21thought about this and I thought
04:22the thing is everyone has their
04:24own particular relationship to it
04:26and what it meant to them as
04:27they should. And so I don't
04:29feel like I pretend to know
04:30anything more about Sue than
04:32anybody else. I've just had the
04:33best time getting to know her
04:35and seeing all these different
04:36interpretations of her. And
04:38it's not like it's one novel
04:39where it's one authored voice.
04:40You know, it's had so many
04:41illustrators and so many people
04:43writing different threads of
04:45stories and then bringing them
04:46back and then writing something
04:47else and then incorporating what
04:49someone did 20 years ago into the
04:50new comic. And it's amazing. And
04:52like you said, you came in
04:53through the cartoons, so they've
04:54been around in kind of the
04:55zeitgeist. And so I think we just
04:57feel like we're just joining, you
04:59know, we're joining that history,
05:01but we're just one part of it.
05:02And I just hope people find
05:04something else in it, something
05:05new in it.
05:06Yeah, to add to it.
05:08It's so cool.
05:08You know, maybe I don't know if
05:10Pedro had this experience in Chile
05:11at all, but here in Mexico, we
05:13used to call El Guapo Ben,
05:15El Guapo Ben, Handsome Ben.
05:17And it was a loving nickname.
05:19Did you get that, Pedro?
05:20What do you think about that one?
05:21He was lovingly.
05:22It was like a nickname for him.
05:24Huh.
05:25But it wasn't ironic.
05:26It wasn't. Well, it was lovingly
05:28ironic.
05:28Yeah.
05:29Yeah.
05:30Lovingly.
05:30I know he's like gentle Ben,
05:32blue eyed Ben.
05:33And I mean, yeah, I think these
05:36are all sort of ways of trying
05:37to get in, get beneath his
05:40under the skin sort of, you
05:42know, I don't know.
05:43But from what I saw from the
05:44trailers, he does have like
05:46very intense feelings, at least
05:47in this version.
05:49Yeah, he's a soulful dude for
05:50sure.
05:51Yeah.
05:52And now that you're going to
05:54have to be dealing with the
05:56Silver Surfer, we know that
05:58because we saw it, especially
06:00I know that you get to jump up
06:03or fly up to her, right?
06:05You get pretty close.
06:06Yeah.
06:06You get pretty close.
06:07So what's that experience like?
06:09Because we know that she exists
06:10in the comic lore as well.
06:12But do it again.
06:15Is that how I did it?
06:16Fall back.
06:18Is this an impression that
06:19you do, he does this to you?
06:21No, I know.
06:21It's just, I thought this was
06:22the cruelty that was happening.
06:25I see.
06:27I fall like this.
06:28I kind of go like, wow.
06:30Oh, okay.
06:35With the sound effect as well.
06:39So what's the deal with Galactus
06:41wanting to eat up all the worlds?
06:42What is the deal with that?
06:43What's the deal with that guy?
06:44Would you guys explain it to me
06:45please, since you have to fight him?
06:47Apparently, he needs to consume
06:49planets to stay alive.
06:51Yes, conscious life.
06:52Just to keep moving.
06:53Conscious life.
06:54Organic life.
06:55Organic life.
06:55Organic life.
06:57You know, those are his nutrients.
07:00Just like Galactus,
07:01planets to Galactus
07:02are what tacos are to me.
07:05Okay, you're in the right place
07:06for that.
07:06No kidding.
07:07Bien, bien.
07:07¿Ya?
07:07¿Hay muchos tacos en México?
07:08Sí.
07:09Muchos en este almuerzo.
07:10They're all gone.
07:11He ate them all.
07:12They ate them all.
07:13He didn't leave any of you?
07:16You had some.
07:17I had a few.
07:18I got the little silver surf over
07:20to the tacos.
07:21Tell him.
07:21You, you, you.
07:22Come with me.
07:23Okay, yesterday the panel
07:25was amazing.
07:25People were so excited.
07:27I know that's a big thing always,
07:30but how did you guys feel about the,
07:33because there's a lot of people
07:33from all of Latin America
07:35here for this.
07:36How did you guys feel
07:36that kind of energy?
07:37Because I think there is
07:39a special energy
07:39for the, with the fandom
07:40from Latin America.
07:43What did you guys find?
07:44Without question.
07:45It was incredible.
07:46Yeah.
07:47It really was.
07:48It was funny
07:48because the four of us,
07:52we are very close
07:55and are a unit.
07:58and it's exciting,
08:00I think,
08:00to see an experience
08:02happen to us in a way.
08:06I think that particularly
08:07to single Eben out
08:08when,
08:09to be on that stage
08:10and to hear that audience scream
08:12and for,
08:14you got emotional.
08:15Yeah,
08:16I was very,
08:16very overwhelmed.
08:17Yeah.
08:17I was not expecting that.
08:19And that moved me a lot
08:20and also gave me,
08:22like,
08:22to throw him off balance
08:24gives me deep,
08:25deep,
08:25deep sadistic pleasure.
08:26I do think
08:30this is a family.
08:31I do believe it.
08:32You act exactly
08:33like a family.
08:35A lot of the fans
08:36were speculating
08:36about a lot of the themes
08:38that we're going to see
08:38on the,
08:39on this film.
08:39And one of them,
08:40I found very interesting.
08:41It has to do with
08:42the Fantastic Four
08:44have to deal with fame,
08:45with huge fame suddenly.
08:47And I think there's
08:47a parallel
08:48that you guys
08:49as the actors
08:51and interpreting them
08:52and so many others
08:53have dealt with.
08:54So did you guys
08:55find that in the movie?
08:56As well,
08:57is it a subject matter,
08:59fame or popular?
09:01I think we had,
09:02we had an experience
09:03where we went to Comic-Con
09:04just before we,
09:06the weekend,
09:07before we started shooting
09:07on the Monday.
09:08I think we were doing Comic-Con
09:09on Saturday night
09:10in San Diego.
09:10And it wasn't,
09:12I mean,
09:12the Mexican reception
09:13was unbelievable.
09:15And so that was bigger
09:16than what we experienced
09:17in San Diego,
09:19but it was still overwhelming.
09:20And it was really,
09:22it was actually really uncanny
09:24because we landed back home
09:27and then the Fantastic Four
09:28must get greeted like that
09:29everywhere they go
09:30all the time
09:30because they weren't humans before
09:33and now they're kind of
09:34variations of humans
09:36and they're not like
09:36everybody else
09:37and they're kind of,
09:38and they have each other
09:39and they're similar to each other
09:40but they all have different powers
09:41and it was just a really,
09:43it was a very like
09:44a life-reflecting moment
09:46I think for us
09:46because it was like,
09:47whoa,
09:47imagine experiencing that every day
09:49whereas I don't think we do.
09:50Pedro maybe, but.
09:52Yeah, and particularly
09:53about that, Pedro,
09:54I was wondering,
09:55do you find differences
09:56in the different fandoms
09:58that you,
09:58because you've done everything by now,
09:59I mean,
10:00you've done all kinds of fandoms,
10:02is there a difference
10:02between Star Wars fandoms
10:04or Last of Us
10:05or even,
10:05well, I hope Narcos know,
10:06but just also,
10:09you know.
10:09Yeah, but a big fandom,
10:11well,
10:12yeah,
10:13I think that there's
10:14a very common thread
10:15which is the passion
10:16that people have
10:17for the material
10:19and a singular identity
10:23to each,
10:24whether it's gaming
10:25or the MCU
10:28or Star Wars,
10:31Game of Thrones,
10:36drug cartels,
10:37that,
10:39that,
10:40that,
10:41I don't know,
10:43yeah,
10:43I'm answering the question
10:45very badly,
10:46but basically,
10:48it's all a very,
10:49very similar thread
10:50which is basically
10:50the love that people have
10:51for,
10:52for this kind of
10:53storytelling
10:54and entertainment.
10:57And,
10:57so,
10:58to be a part of
10:59so much of it
11:01is,
11:01is,
11:02is incredible.
11:03Just to finish up,
11:05I'm part of another
11:06fandom and I want to know
11:07if you're going to be back
11:08with Domingo.
11:10Domingo.
11:10Domingo.
11:11Oh,
11:11that too.
11:12Yeah,
11:13that's the ultimate
11:14in fandom,
11:15fingers crossed.
11:15Okay,
11:16when did you back?
11:16Ojalá,
11:17ojalá.
11:17Por favor,
11:17te necesitamos con Domingo.
11:18Sí,
11:18me encantaría.
11:19Okay,
11:20guys,
11:20it's amazing to see you.
11:21Thank you so much for being here in Mexico.
11:23Thank you so much.
11:23You're great and can't wait to see the movie.
11:25Muchas gracias.
11:26Muchas gracias.
11:57Soy Susana Moscatel,
11:58esto es M2.
11:59Gracias equipo.
12:01Por aquí nos vemos.
12:03Un aplauso para los cuatro fantásticos.
12:09El señor fantástico.
12:11Yeah,
12:11I mean,
12:11I would say it's cheesy,
12:13but it's probably their,
12:14their,
12:14their bond as a family.
12:16They are like really greater than the sum of the parts.
12:20So I think if you take one of them away,
12:22the whole thing kind of falls apart.
12:23So there's something intrinsic to,
12:26to all of them that is about the community of the group.
12:29It was a tremendous honor.
12:30I was very surprised when I got the offer.
12:34Didn't really see that coming.
12:36So I was very,
12:37I was very surprised.
12:53I was very surprised.
