00:20Alien Earth is the story of a Wailing Yutani ship collecting species from around the galaxy

00:32that crashes on the planet Earth.

00:34But it crashes on the property of a different corporation, the Prodigy Corporation, which

00:39is run by a billionaire named Boy Cavalier, who is trying to create the first transhuman

00:45hybrid.

00:46You're going to be the first person to transition from a human body to a synthetic.

00:51What makes them geniuses is the fact that they're children.

00:57This ship finds something on a faraway moon.

01:03Monsters.

01:08No septus one on Earth, so the stakes are high.

01:11If this animal gets free, it's a much bigger problem.

01:16All of the creatures, they're this mix of sci-fi and horror.

01:20When aliens come to our planet, we realize they're really the thing of nightmares, which

01:24we're going to get people.

01:26This is really good, suspenseful horror storytelling.

01:30It's going to be a thrill ride.

01:32We've basically gone, how far can I push this?

01:34Get chased by the alien.

01:36Feel the fear, the horror that we all felt when we watched those amazing original films.

01:41Are there going to be dead bodies?

01:44Don't think about that.

01:46The hero is a character named Wendy, a 12-year-old girl who finds herself in a synthetic adult

01:54body.

01:55She's been separated from her family as part of this secret project that the Prodigy

01:58Corporation has done.

01:59There you are.

02:02With Wendy, you start out with a feeling of innocence, and you see cracks begin to form

02:08in what she thinks is a safe and beautiful world that she's been given, and what she

02:14does with that, what fight she decides to take up, and which one she decides to leave behind.

02:19And God forbid you try and stand in her way.

02:21Wendy has a brother out there, human brother, and she's determined and desperate to save him.

02:27I found you.

02:29This Weyland-Yutani spaceship has crashed into a Prodigy building.

02:33I'm part of a team that responds to the crisis.

02:36It turns out it's not just a rescue mission, that this is actually a very dangerous ship

02:41filled with these hostile creatures, and they go in unprepared for that.

02:45What I find interesting, I'm thinking about a show that's called Alien.

02:58This thing over here is an alien, what does it mean to be human?

03:01The closer you sort of zoom into that question, the more complicated it becomes, particularly

03:05in a world in which we're now able to create intelligence that's artificial.

03:08You want to see a magic trick?

03:10Yeah.

03:11We have combined this story of humanity facing this existential threat, both from biological

03:21monsters and from synthetic artificial intelligence, which always raises the question, does humanity

03:27deserve to survive?

03:29I want what's on that ship.

03:31This show, really, it's a character study.

03:34What does the pressure of having not just one alien, quite a few, what does that do to

03:39them as human beings?

03:40How do they behave?

03:41Brother, come on.

03:42You can't leave us like this.

03:44I'm not your brother.

03:46The show is huge, and it's going to be something people are going to have to really sink their

03:49teeth into.

03:50This strange, exciting, and scary world.

03:52I want the audience to feel everything, dreading what's going to come around the corner, hair

03:57rising up on the back of their neck.

03:59You want to give the audience that feeling they got from the original alien.

04:03When you go to bed afterwards, it's very hard to sleep.

04:22You want to board those people that feel like you're posterior high.

04:27So come on, read that a moment.

04:28I know you were going to read that to me in my apartment.

04:31Now, what does that mean?
