00:11following the negotiations between U.S. President Donald Trump and President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.

00:19Senator J.V. Ejercito questioned the Trump administration's treatment on the Philippine government and Filipinos in general,

00:27saying he thought Americans considered Filipinos as their little brown brothers.

00:33He lamented that the newly negotiated deal puts the country at a great disadvantage.

00:40Senator Aimee Marcos is also disappointed on the outcome of the negotiations,

00:45saying that a mere 1% reduction on tariffs for the Philippines while imposing none on the United States is not considered a victory.

00:53Senator Ping Laxon, on the other hand, believes that the 19% against zero tariffs

00:59is definitely not the most fair deal between decades-old allies like the United States and the Philippines.
