00:55First we started out with this mess. So it's like overgrown and blue and then they're gonna dye it blue again.

01:11I'm tired of being a blonde, dye my hair yellow. Okay, I don't know how I feel about the gray, but the yellow is super cool.

01:21Okay, but I wonder what would happen if they mixed like all the colors together. I mean, would you get like a mucky brown color?

03:01Okay, so we started out with the short hair. It's a little poofy. Oh, she's cutting it even shorter. More. Even shorter.

04:13You know, this is the whole entire process to get colored hair. First, you gotta bleach it. Then you put the colors on.
04:19Ooh, you got some pink, blue, red. Ooh. Oh, and it's hidden. So you could be fancy for work.
04:27But there's a whole entire hidden party going on in your follicles. Wow. Okay, so now she's gonna curl it.

04:47This is some fancy hair. And this is what happens when you treat every single strand with love and respect.

05:19Oh, that looks so cool. It's like a raccoon tail but with like a rainbow. This is like my dream high school hair.
05:24I always wanted like rainbow hair or blue hair. It's hard seeing people living out your dream.
05:30Whoa! She just went like brown to blonde real quick. You know, this is incredibly hard.
05:36I've never been able to get my hair this light. I think because I always dye my hair black and then the times that I wanted to like bleach it and go lighter, it always ended up orange.
05:44I could never get that nice clean platinum. Oh, I thought she did it like a gray. Oh, this is another dream color.
05:52Oh, it's so beautiful. I can't stand it. I would feel like Sephiroth. Hmm.
05:57You know, I always wondered how they like match the roots perfectly. You know, that's the stuff that takes a lot of skill because it's like it's black.
06:05Then you've got to like bleach the scalp at just the right amount of time to make it like the same color as the rest of your hair.
06:10Oh, she's getting rainbow hair. Bleached blonde hair is like the perfect canvas. You know, something I've never acquired.
06:17I always wanted like blonde highlights and then every time I bleach my hair, orange. Whoa.
06:22Looking like those Jolly Rancher candy canes. Wow.
06:26Here we have another Karen in the making. So they shaved the whole bottom of her head. Oh, so that's how they do that haircut.
06:33It gives it dimension. There was a 90% chance anyone with this haircut will ask for the manager.
06:39Karen's in 2020 be like, I'm not going to lie. The color looked nice though, but her head looked big.

07:08So she bleached the absolute life out of her hair. Now we got a nice perfect canvas to put some color in.

07:18Okay, this is what we starting out with. Hair is hella faded. We're going to bleach it.
07:23We're going to put some more color in it. You know, I love these rainbow transformations. Just seeing like the before and the after.

07:59You know, the managers, they weren't taking me seriously. So put some glitter in my hair. She's definitely a dance mom.

08:11You could have this effect in your hair. Maybe she's born with it. Maybe it's quarantine.

08:38You know, us dark hair girls really suffering right now. I remember when I was in school, my blonde friend was like,
08:43Oh, I dyed my hair with Kool-Aid. Me being the fool that I was, begged my mom for some Kool-Aid.
08:49I was like, I want to dye my hair too. And my mom really just sat there and watched me do it and was like,
08:55Why doesn't it work on me? Nobody told me I had dark hair and I couldn't dye it.
08:59And then during Halloween, they had those like color sprays that you spray in your hair and they never showed up in my hair
09:04and I was severely disappointed.
09:06She bleached just the middle part of her hair. Oh, we're making a whole entire rainbow. Just the middle.
09:11Oh, and you can cover it up. Okay, now wash it out.
09:14That's so aesthetic. It's like when the sun hits just right. Oh my God.
09:19It does look like when the sun hits and you see like that rainbow. If she didn't even thinner, it would be even cooler.
09:25Oh, this is a DIY project. She's doing it herself. I don't think I could ever do hair.
09:30Like I am not patient. You got to be so patient with this thing. You can't just wham bam it, ma'am.
09:35It's like a perfectionist job. I feel like the only thing in my life that I'm like a perfectionist with is thumbnails.
