Auburn Tigers head coach Hugh Freeze might not be anxious to go fast on offense in 2025.

00:00You know, it seems that most of us that were totally committed to that world, which I was,
00:06it won a lot of games, but it seemed as defenses transitioned and found ways to catch up with us
00:14and that it's kind of shifted back.
00:18There's still some that I would say are totally committed to it than others of us
00:22that are really trying to play the best complementary football that we can
00:28and maybe lessen some of those snaps that your defense has to take.
00:34And so that's where I've kind of landed right now as a mixture,
00:38but I think it's because, man, these defenses having to play a lot of snaps troubles a head coach.
00:48And even if you're one that's committed to an up-tempo pace, you just got to be careful.
00:56It's hard to stop offenses these days unless you're, there's just a handful that have elite defenses
01:02that can shut down offenses.
01:06And, you know, to me, it becomes a factor of, all right, what do we need to win this game?
01:12And if there's a way we can move the football and lessen the snaps on our defense,
01:17I would lean toward that method immediately.
